The owner of Cool Today sent me an email and asked me to review my recent experience with Cool Today, Sarasota. I would have liked to email him but that is not possible as everything from the company is NO REPLY. I decided to leave this review. I have a service contract for A/C maintenance. I requested a specific service tech that has serviced my property in the past on several occasions and has done a great job. The company called the day of my appointment to tell me that Mykola would not be coming. Erin was to replace him. I didn't have much choice. Erin did his thing. What he didn't do was send me an invoice for the service, photos of the readings on my equipment and condition of components, vacuum the drain line on my mini-split or rinse the condenser on my package unit. He did not measure the temperature at the intakes and exist of the air vents. All of my previous techs did this. I had to ask if my capacitor reading was ok. He did inform me of that age of my ultraviolet light was overdo. I agreed to replace it. I also added a surge protector. The charges were high considering the cost of the parts in the retails market and the fact that the tech was onsite already. He was not as thorough as my previous techs Mykola and Kim who is not longer in the field. This young man could use some additional training.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I want to start by stating my complaint is not with the techs that have come out or with the installation itself. We hired Cool Today to install our AC unit back in the spring of 2020 and paid for maintenance for three years. Everything has been great until our AC stopped working last Monday. We obtained quotes from Cool Today and Tri-County to repair it. Only to find out that Cool Today failed to register the unit they installed in 2020 for the 10 year warranty. Not only does the paperwork from the purchase/installation state that this was included and Cool Today would take responsibility for registering the warranty, but it is also stated on their website. We did not find this out from Cool Today, but from Tri-County Air after they quoted a much more reasonable price for the labor and found the unit was not registered. Cool Today's failure to register the unit is now likely delaying the repair until resolved. They have offered no solutions or alternatives to remedy the situation. We have been calling daily and we continue to be told we will get an update soon. It’s been over a week in the middle of a heat wave.

Great company very professional!! Easy to make appointment online Had a question after hours and got a call back almost immediately. Tech was very polite and called ahead before arriving on time. I wasn’t home so he stayed in touch with me to let me know what he discovered. Took pictures and I was able to pay over the phone, very efficient. The problem turned out to be simple, a connection only needed to be tightened. Another company had not competently installed my new system and Freon leaked out slowly over the 3 years since it was Installed culminating in today’s visit. My only complaint is the price of Freon ….it’s obviously made in the heavens by the gods who use bits of gold and lovingly bottle it in semi precious jeweled jars then only send it down to earth once in a blue moon in small batches...because it cost me $600 for 4 lbs.

They are thorough and efficient along with being friendly clean and patient. We appreciate their taking the time to explain the process and provide feedback in a way we can understand. Carlos (our tech) was great! And took care of us (and our unit) ensuring we will be cool all summer. Being a member of CoolToday was the best decision we have made as new homeowners.
