Recently had a landscaping contractor employee hit my outside A/C condenser unit with a lawn mower causing considerable damage. Cool Today technician Quadrea Bain came out right away to get the condenser running again by replacing some of the suction line copper piping that was severely crimped. He also gave me a detailed estimate to replace the condenser coil which was also damaged. Quadrea replaced the condenser coil which is a complicated repair requiring cutting out the old coil and then brazing in the new one. This repair was completed in 4 hours. Quadrea is highly skilled, explains what he is doing and why. I am going to ask for him on any future repairs.

We had an emergency situation and they were at my house within 2 hours of when I called. Quadrea was the technician and he quickly assessed the problem, showed me what he was planning to do, and got it done. He also showed me what caused the problem to prevent it from happening again. I had a pretty disappointing experience with Cool Today. Michelle in the office was so pleasant and helpful in getting me scheduled, but unfortunately the technician was not as great. Quadrea Bain came out and replaced the capacitor on my unit, then told me my compressor was failing and that I shouldn't run the system. He immediately started calling the parts department, pushing financing, and contacting the office to sort out payment before I even had a chance to think. When I told him I wanted to get a second opinion and would not be purchasing the compressor, he left visibly upset and clearly frustrated. I later had another company inspect the unit, and their technician confirmed the compressor was working fine and that the system simply needed a good cleaning. They also discovered the unit is still under manufacturer warranty, which Cool Today never checked or mentioned. I felt rushed and pressured into an unnecessary and costly repair. I expected much more honesty and professionalism from a company with this kind of reputation.
