I’ve used Cool Today for a variety of services at my home in Sarasota including A/C, Electrical and Plumbing. They helped me with a kitchen remodeling project where I put in an island with a gas range. Most recently, they came out to service my LG mini-split A/C cleaning the filters and treating the coils on all 5 headend units in my house. Jake was the technician. He arrived on time, was thorough in his work and pleasant to work with. He kept me informed of his progress while he worked and explained everything as he completed the maintenance of my systems. He presented me with some preventative options I could consider pointing out a potential issue with these systems, if not properly maintained. He wasn’t pushy about it but gave me the good and the bad side to consider. I strongly recommend using Cool Today for anyone needing assistance with plumbing, electrical or A/C issues. They are pretty fair when it comes to price and do a good job addressing these issues.

I decided to walk into Cool Today after seeing those greenish Cool Today trucks everywhere in Sarasota to discuss updating my heating and air conditioning system. I was met by Jimmy Mullen who explained his background with the company and company business model. Jimmy answered all my questions so we agreed for him to come to my home to perform a free energy audit and make a recommendation on a heating system. I choose the energy Star Rated 3.5 Ton Rheem/Ruud 2 stage heat pump. The next day, the installer Paul called me and provided an arrival time to begin the installation. The company actually had sent a link to me so that I could track where Paul was as he made his way to my home. Paul told me that had discussed the work with Jimmy the prior afternoon and Paul discussed the work to be done clearly with me in a very professional manner. I also found Paul to be very knowledgeable of what needed to be done. Right after, Paul and his coworker got busy removing the 8 year old gas furnace and the outside air conditioner. I asked Paul for an approximate time to complete the installation. He estimated around 03:30pm including the installation and setup of a new WI-FI thermostat. The installation is better than what I expected and Paul and his coworker completed the work at 03:25pm….. very impressive. The installation is very clean looking, with no exposed wires (see photos). Overall, I am very happy with the cost of the equipment and the professional installation. The Guarantee provided by Cool Today is far and above any guarantee I have ever read. Thanks to Jimmy, Paul, his coworker, and the staff at Cool Today for making the installation go smoothly.

My post is for AC: the all time best experience starting with my salesman, Jimmy, and of course, the installation crew (Jonathan and his brother). My 28 year old system passed away on 6/18/25 in Sarasota FL. I had a very professional meeting with Jimmy. Liked him and everything he said. No pushing to buy. After that one hour meeting I was easily ready to join the Cool Today membership. Wasted one more day for another company's quote. Not worth the time when you're sleeping in 89° temperature but I did. After that 2nd quote, I went straight back to Jimmy at Cool Today. Within one day I had my refinancing approved and the installers scheduled the next day. Jonathan and his brother were the most dedicated, determined, very driven, and took pride in their work to do this upgrade/install for me. The owner of Cool Today sent me an email and asked me to review my recent experience with Cool Today, Sarasota. I would have liked to email him but that is not possible as everything from the company is NO REPLY. I decided to leave this review. I have a service contract for A/C maintenance. I requested a specific service tech that has serviced my property in the past on several occasions and has done a great job. The company called the day of my appointment to tell me that Mykola would not be coming. Erin was to replace him. I didn't have much choice. Erin did his thing. What he didn't do was send me an invoice for the service, photos of the readings on my equipment and condition of components, vacuum the drain line on my mini-split or rinse the condenser on my package unit. He did not measure the temperature at the intakes and exist of the air vents. All of my previous techs did this. I had to ask if my capacitor reading was ok. He did inform me of that age of my ultraviolet light was overdo. I agreed to replace it. I also added a surge protector. The charges were high considering the cost of the parts in the retails market and the fact that the tech was onsite already. He was not as thorough as my previous techs Mykola and Kim who is not longer in the field. This young man could use some additional training.

I signed up for Cool Today's special A/C summer tuneup during a trip to Home Depot. They called me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. We scheduled a time 3 days out. The service tech called within the appointed time window to tell me he was on his way. The service tech was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing and why. Our system is 11 years old and close to the end of its life but still in decent shape. There was no hard sell to upgrade to a new unit. We had a very professional, thorough and very personable maintenance visit from Josh. It was such a great experience that I am considering switching to his company when our present maintenance contract is up for renewal this year. We have lived in Sarasota for over 30 years and for most of those years have had a maintenance service contract on our AC units. Our experience has been that this type of service agreement has saved us not only money but provided peace of mind knowing we have a reputable company to maintain our units. We picked Cool Today to perform our duct cleaning because of positive reviews in the neighborhood, and their (5) star rating in the Sarasota County Homeowner Referral Guidebook. We did have to wait some time to receive an estimate, but when Mitchell came we were impressed with his thoroughness and professional approach. We decide to go with Cool Today. The job is now completed. Cody and Dave were very thorough, the job took approx. (4) hours. Everything appeared spotless afterwards, with before/after pics provided. We would definitely recommend Cool Today for duct cleaning, not sure how they could do better.
