Cool Today's service has really gone downhill recently. We have used them for over a decade but recently they have failed to follow through. We recently had them do their annual maintenance on our equipment; two days later the coils go bad and no cool. Despite my concern about why they didn't catch this during the maintenance, I agreed to the repair estimate. Three days later and they still haven't got the repair complete. Cool today - more like cool when we get around to it

He was very neat in appearance, very respectful. He put plastic bootie’s on which we really appreciate as we have very light carpets. Again, my wife and myself were extremely happy with Mykola! Your the technician did not act professionally, refused to give me an update of the job , and told me that I should not said anything 😭 because the tune up cost just $25:00 that's insulting because that not my first tune up with Home Depot, my Air conditioner is new , finance by Home Depot , why a simple job getting so complicated, i am not satisfied at all .

Returned to Florida after a few months away and the Cool Today AC system wouldn’t turn on. One call and a service man was on the way. He quickly diagnosed the issue and called service headquarters.They sent a specialist out to fix the issue that was the result of a retrofitted installation which was unique to our system. I decided to walk into Cool Today after seeing those greenish Cool Today trucks everywhere in Sarasota to discuss updating my heating and air conditioning system. I was met by Jimmy Mullen who explained his background with the company and company business model. Jimmy answered all my questions so we agreed for him to come to my home to perform a free energy audit and make a recommendation on a heating system. I choose the energy Star Rated 3.5 Ton Rheem/Ruud 2 stage heat pump. The next day, the installer Paul called me and provided an arrival time to begin the installation. The company actually had sent a link to me so that I could track where Paul was as he made his way to my home. Paul told me that had discussed the work with Jimmy the prior afternoon and Paul discussed the work to be done clearly with me in a very professional manner. I also found Paul to be very knowledgeable of what needed to be done. Right after, Paul and his coworker got busy removing the 8 year old gas furnace and the outside air conditioner. I asked Paul for an approximate time to complete the installation. He estimated around 03:30pm including the installation and setup of a new WI-FI thermostat. The installation is better than what I expected and Paul and his coworker completed the work at 03:25pm….. very impressive. The installation is very clean looking, with no exposed wires (see photos). Overall, I am very happy with the cost of the equipment and the professional installation. The Guarantee provided by Cool Today is far and above any guarantee I have ever read. Thanks to Jimmy, Paul, his coworker, and the staff at Cool Today for making the installation go smoothly.

Recently had a landscaping contractor employee hit my outside A/C condenser unit with a lawn mower causing considerable damage. Cool Today technician Quadrea Bain came out right away to get the condenser running again by replacing some of the suction line copper piping that was severely crimped. He also gave me a detailed estimate to replace the condenser coil which was also damaged. Quadrea replaced the condenser coil which is a complicated repair requiring cutting out the old coil and then brazing in the new one. This repair was completed in 4 hours. Quadrea is highly skilled, explains what he is doing and why. I am going to ask for him on any future repairs.

So I had the technician Armando come out and service my unit as part of my service plan. Very nice gentleman seemed pretty thorough pointed out a few issues to me. I don’t think he tested the heat out. However, when he was testing outside unit, he must’ve forgotten to put a wire back on. Because about two hours after he left, the house was not cooling off at all. So I went outside while the air-conditioning inside was running the outside unit was not running at all. So I called and they sent another tech technician out that night. His name was Dean. Very nice gentleman. He went over to the outside unit took the panel off and found that there was a wire that was not connected back that Armando took off. That must’ve shorted the system out. He tried several attempts and several things to get us Up and running, but he could not. He determined that the wire that was loose burnt out the compress System. He stated after speaking to his supervisor that they would come back the next day and replaced the compressor. I don’t remember a gentleman‘s name that came out here, but he was extremely nice as well. He did a great job and after he left, my air conditioner has been working fine. One of the reasons why I have Cool Today come out and service. My unit is because I’ve never had an issue with the Service technicians. And they stand behind their work. Replacing the compressor at no charge was one of the many things that they stand behind. They realized it was their mistake and they took care of it. I never hesitate to call them or recommend Cool Today to anyone I know.

Ronnie Barnes (technician) did a 5-star job diagnosing and locating a refrigerant leak that caused our 3-year old Lennox AC system to shut down, but I was not amused to find out that it will cost over $2,000 to replace the valve that is leaking refrigerant.

Just had my first scheduled preventative maintenance performed on our new A/C system. The work was done under the Lifetime Warranty we purchased with the system. The technician, Rafael Ramirez, arrived within the first hour of my 4 hour service window (I always appreciate that!), and was very professional and knowledgeable. Of course the six month old system checked out OK. I’ve been nothing but completely satisfied with Cool Today. Yeah I was not ecstatic to purchase a new A/C system six months ago, but if you have to pay $xxxxx thousand dollars, give your money to Cool Today. Worthwhile investment.

Technician stated I needed 2 new float switches without testing them (just said if the system didn’t shut off when inverted they were both bad). Tried to charge us $235 to repair it. I found them for $30 online so we declined. I then tested the floats with a multimeter when the technician left and both were fine and the system is working fine. Made us question the second part he “diagnosed” and said was “failing” (capacitor on the outside unit for $303). Complained to the company via email and they still haven’t contacted us other than reply to verify service date and address in their response. Seems like the technicians are getting commissions for parts sales! May have to look elsewhere for maintenance after 16 years with Cool Today!

The plumbing tech looked dirty and unkempt. The feeling he gave out was - just uncomfortable and was flat out weird. He could not do the repair because he was not strong enough to move the washing machine to get to the drain. He had to leave without making any repairs. What a waste of time. I’ve used Cool Today before and never had tech like this weak, scruffy, little baby. I’m an elderly lady and I guess I will have to find a plumber who will actually help.

Commercial Maintenance is incredibly understaffed and as a result they haven't been able to meet contractual service commitments. When the guys show up they are nice enough but necessarily well trained. We'v had some of the package units left in pieces after they left.
