Paid 1800 to have my heater fixed. Still doesn’t work Update. Before they came the AC worked but the heating did not. Now that I paid them 1800 nothing works. The AC actually makes the house hotter somehow

I Would use any plumbing company, but this one. The latest debacle was when we called them at 9Am and needed our pipe snaked as everything was clogged, including shower and toilets. This has happened before and we knew it just needed to be snaked like they have done before for us. They were supposed to be out between 12 and 4pm. The guy showed up at 4 o’clock and said that it was too windy for him to snake the pipes. At the time the wind was 15 mph, but not steady. He said it was too dangerous and would come tomorrow, but they would not come again until somewhere between 12 and 4pm again! I am a disabled senior that has recently had colon surgery and I needed my bathroom in working order. I refuse to wait 24 hours for them to come back out. Highly unprofessional and we will not utilize this company again. We have already given them thousands of dollars for a re-pipe job a few years back and we have had problems with that re-piping as well.

The tech diagnosed quickly that we needed a new fan motor in the condenser. He quoted 888. Then he said if we join the maintenance service plan for 259 a year, then the price would be 704. We said ok to that price. He asked me to sign his black tablet. I questioned how complicated the billing was and he said just sign and it will be adjusted for the 704 price. He was scrolling so fast. We are in our late 80s, hearing impaired but we trusted him. Signed Friday tech puts in new motor. Presents us on the tablet bill of 888. We questioned where was the 704 price. He argued if we did not pay the 888 he would take the motor out. He denied the price was 704 even though he explained we saved because we bought the plan and we got a veteran discount. So he SCAMMED us into paying the 888 price by saying it would be lowered if we joined the plan. After he put the motor in, I asked him to check the vents that the temp was correct and he refused and scoffed it off. Plus now he refused to complete the service properly by checking the vents. It is a shame that this is how the techs are trained to SCAM customers. The first visit I was happy with him looked forward to him coming back.

Was told on phone tech would be getting 89 dollar service call charge plus parts, but when he showed up I was busy at another location and the on duty manager was told $150 cash and all we got out of this was a picture taken by tech of a faulty component and told manager it would be 195 plus part, which had to be ordered, completely conflicting with what I was told on phone. Had I been there, I would have told him no, were not paying for info we already knew and that this was not what I was told on phone. So now we paid 150 just for this tech to come out and tell us what we already knew, and it's still not repaired. Be wary of dealing with this company.

Cool Today's service has really gone downhill recently. We have used them for over a decade but recently they have failed to follow through. We recently had them do their annual maintenance on our equipment; two days later the coils go bad and no cool. Despite my concern about why they didn't catch this during the maintenance, I agreed to the repair estimate. Three days later and they still haven't got the repair complete. Cool today - more like cool when we get around to it

The plumbing tech looked dirty and unkempt. The feeling he gave out was - just uncomfortable and was flat out weird. He could not do the repair because he was not strong enough to move the washing machine to get to the drain. He had to leave without making any repairs. What a waste of time. I’ve used Cool Today before and never had tech like this weak, scruffy, little baby. I’m an elderly lady and I guess I will have to find a plumber who will actually help.

Commercial Maintenance is incredibly understaffed and as a result they haven't been able to meet contractual service commitments. When the guys show up they are nice enough but necessarily well trained. We'v had some of the package units left in pieces after they left.

Long story short...most things the Technician said were BS! Main thing he said I needed a new Fan Motor since my heat didn't work. That would have been close to $2,000 with tax and labor. I called a local A/C guy while he was here to have him come over. So Mike turned on the A/C and it came on. Wow, why didn't the Cool Today Tech try that??? So, all I need is a heating connection replaced that will be around $200, instead of $2,000! I'm sorry that I contracted with this company as well as having three of my Customers switch over to them! Bummer ir was.

I went on the monthly service with cool today as they shared they would send out the various technicians for electrical plumbing and HVAC throughout the service. Each time they came out to do their "complementary "inspection, the technicians always pushed for a specific service with an exorbitant cost. I've come to find out that all of the technicians at cool today are Commissioned based. So, the more they can sell you the more money they make. I've realized that $450 to change out an outlet might be a little steep and now I know why.. I recently had a very similar experience with my HVAC system. Though I am on their monthly service plan, they want to charge me $250 to replace a $20 part that takes five minutes to replace. It sure does make it challenging to trust a company who pushes their employees to sell as much as they can and they can make money off of us that way. Not such And ethical business model

This is one of these days that was bate and switch. Gavin was here the day before checked everything and said everything was OK even our coolant system. He checked everything but this guy today said we were low on Freon and wanted us to charge us $2900 for a new A coil Really disappointed with this company now and charge is over $450. This company is gonna be on our do not call. Watch out for these people I just got the report from elite Air Conditioning labor the day before and I checked the Freon and there was nothing wrong with it. That was before cool today so I was scammed if you do go with this company, be very careful they might take you for everything you have

In May of 2020 I purchased a complete HVAC system from and installed by Cool Today. To date there have been over 10 failures including 2 condenser fans, one compressor and that ones appears to have failed again. Not only does the system fail over and over again they seem to always take multiple days to even come look at the unit and them inform us it will be 3 to 10 days longer to get the part that has failed, so much for the 24/7 service they claim to have. They really need to learn what real customer service looks like. Obviously I do not recommend this company unfortunately there is not a zero star rating. Additional note don’t try to contact a true customer service person as you will be told they are not available and tell you they will have someone call you back lol don’t hold your breath. By the way the system has a 10 year parts and labor warranty. Not holding my breath it will last that long as it grenades about every 6 to 8 months.

I signed up for the Home Depot tune up special only to have the appointment canceled by Cool Today after coordinating the date and time with my tenant. I was given another date but prior to this date, my tenant requested an earlier appointment because of a potential cooling issue. Ahmad came over and I was charged 10 times the amount I was quoted. I paid for an overpriced drain flush which would have been prevented if they had not canceled on me the first time. Ahmad said he would call us back to resolve this but never did. I do not recommend this company. ADDENDUM: 4 months later the same AC unit stopped working. I called about the 1 year warranty on workmanship which was emailed to me 4 months ago with the invoice. They looked up my account and stated that there is no warranty to cover this even though it was emailed to me. The person on the phone stated that she was not aware of this warranty and to email it to her. Next thing I know I receive an email from them of the same invoice with the same warranty attached on the third page that was emailed to me 4 months ago. Otherwise, still no response so I ended up calling another company. Shame on Home Depot for working with this company.

I've never had a worse experience with a company in my life. I installed a $20,000 system and it started failing and having issues immediately. I had no air conditioning for almost 5 days even though they had the part in stock the whole time. I had to call them over and over just to get them to come out to fix the system. I've never dealt with managers who could care less about their jobs. Turns out they improperly installed it and they still haven't fully fixed it (and the month it ran when improperly installed caused a lot of wear on the system). No calls, no help from anyone. I'm sure I'll have to call them another half dozen times just to get this fixed however I'm planning to look into removing this system under their money back guarantee and have a professional A/C company put in a new one. They may be good for maintenance but DO NOT use CoolToday for any kind of installation services. Most of these Google reviews are for their maintenance services, go look at some other review sites and how low their scores are when most of the people posting got installation services.

Really disappointed, going on 36 hours with no update on when my compressor will be installed. This is a unit that was installed June 23 2025. No AC for 48 Hours. They got their money with a new install within a day, but a part under warranty is not a priority. Going on 72 hours, they haven't even reached out. Where are you Jeff?

Not good, said they would call nite before, didnt. Said theyd call 30-45 min ahead..called 20 min ahead then late. Took forever, appeared as though tech was new, didnt know how to do. Finally decided a part needed replacing and in the mean time, took 20 to go give another tech a part! Was very slow, took almost 3 hrs. Get training elsewhere with another tech or having to call in. Tech ended up apologizing..

I don’t leave a lot of negative reviews because I think everybody has good and bad days however… I bought a new house and figured I’d have cool today come out since There was some water pooling on my 1st floor unit. They did come out quickly and did a basic cleaning of the drip lines. Their “Technician” Said our upstairs unit is 12 years old, and low on coolant. He said it’s working now, but will probably stop working within the month. He said these units are so old that doing that process might actually break them so he recommended 2 new units to the tune of 16K. I just Purchased this home that passed inspection so I very surprised about that recommendation. A few days after the technician came out , all of a sudden my capacitor stopped working… I call that suspicious, but hey coincidences happen. My father-in-law suggested using Parrish AC for a second look. They came out the next day, took a look at my AC units and said Your coolant levels are fine and the units you have are out of warranty, but they’re very sturdy and looking in good condition. I asked, how much do I owe you? And his reply surprised me. You don’t owe me anything just to take a look, but if you ever do need actual work done keep us in mind. I will only use them going forward! But this isn’t a review about them… I understand recommendations aren’t necessarily always bottom of the line or cheapest solutions But here I am three months later with no extra work done and my AC is blowing at 68° through a Florida summer! Cool Today, politely GFY… Hopefully this was a one time thing and they aren’t ripping off older folks for thousands of dollars.

Generac Generator contract July 2024, Generator up and running December 2024. Short outage in May 2025 (first time running) never shut itself off. Two appointments later Cool Today decided it must be a burned out mother board. Three weeks later no communication from Cool Today. Now the height of hurricane season and we have no Generator! They did show up on time. Within minutes of the tech arriving, I was told that a one year old unit was cheap and peace of junk. Prior to this unit I had a Trane. That unit had three repairs in four years covered under warranty but still had to pay 2300 labor each repair. That was junk. You just don't was in to a home and call a new unit junk. A rock may have hit the coils during mowing. You don't know. Then charging $160 dollars a pound for 410a refrigerant is obscene. A 25lb cylinder is $329. That is corporate greed at its worst. The tech said I need at least 9 lbs in a 10 lbs unit. EPA 608 leak threshold for residential is 10% . Did not even offer to repair the leak just to recharge against EPA regulations. He did reiterate that the one year unit should be replaced. Then you wonder why people don't like or trust A/C companies

Had new system installed about a month ago. While the unit works fine, they left my house worse than before they did the work. I have a hole in my ceiling where they either put their foot through or dropped something, there's a huge whole in the stucco on the side of my house where they changed the breaker box, and they did a poor job of replacing the molding around the attic access. Was told two weeks ago that someone would call to schedule the repairs, but still have not heard from anyone. Edit 8/20/25: Finally heard from drywall repair company 8/14. They asked what days and times I would be home for them to do repair of ceiling and said they would call back to schedule. Stt have not heard from them. Feel like I am being ghosted.

We have not been happy with our last few maintenance check ups on our unit. Every time they fix something within 24 hours something doesn’t work on one of the units. Then we have to schedule another visit for somebody to come out to fix it when it worked prior to the check up. Also, every time they come out is thousands of dollars that they have to fix when the unit was working just fine before. I’m not sure we’re getting our moneys worth.

I`d put Zero stars instead of 1 star if there was such an option. I bought a house with new AC unit installed by previous owner, it worked perfectly. Signed up for regular maintenance with Cool Today. The unit stopped working shortly after the first maintenance. Had multiple visits from Cool Today coming up with all kinds of issues, that did not fix the problem, the AC was no longer operational. The most outrageous suggestion I got from Cool Today was that I needed to tear down the excellent metal ducts that were in perfect like new condition and had to replace them with new ones provided by Cool Today, the cost of work 15K+. This was the last straw that tipped me off, I called several expert inspectors to inspect my AC unit. The finding made by one of them was shocking - there was a hole in the coolant pipe, that could not appear there on its own, somebody had to physically poke the pipe, the coolant leaked out and evaporated that irreparable damage to the running AC. Nobody had access to or opened the AC, but Cool Today team during the maintenance. Besides the unit was shifted during the maintenance in a way that jammed the goffer and the air could not flow in the house no matter how hard the AC worked, with leaking coolant on top of that. These are just facts. It does not come to not enough knowledge, it comes down to alleged intentional damage of my property and unfair business practices, in my opinion. If I`d stayed with Cool Today and followed their advice they would have proceeded with the ducts work replacement, but the AC was irreparably broken at the time, so they would follow with AC replacement as well. I am honestly terrified that this company is out there after having dealt with them.

This experience with cool today has been the worst I have ever had. We had a tech come out today to clean our AC and diagnose a noise we have been hearing and he did neither. He told us the AC coils were dirty and did not clean them, then when we asked about the noise he said I have no idea, and had to call someone else who said we could schedule another tech to come out for a few. I need a refund for the $60 I paid for absolutely nothing today and a competent tech to come tell me what is happening with my unit. Every time I speak or deal with anyone at this company it is a nightmare. Starting from the very beginning 4 years ago when I bought this system from cool today and my entire house was flooded because of the incompetent technician. Please give me a call so I can further explain and let me know how it is will be resolved

I had a new water heater installed at my house by this company. Prior to installation I asked to have the plumbing manager call me two different times. I was never called back. After the installation I had some questions and concerns about the job and price I had to pay. I called and left a message two times for a call back and was told both times a "Donna" would call me right back that day. She never did. The work done was satisfactory, however the price seemed way out of line and the customer service after the sale is terrible. I still have questions and concerns.

The rep showed up on time and went right to work. At one point he showed my wife a picture and told her that we had mold. She asked to see the mold in our AC unit, and he showed an area that was covered by the filter. He told my wife that it would cost $1,000 for an ultraviolet treatment, and that it would be a little less if we had a contract. Then my contractor came over and looked at the area and told us it was just dirt that could be cleaned with Clorox wipes. If anyone is considering Cool Today, please keep in mind that the reps make a commission by selling you services you don't need.

I had a pretty disappointing experience with Cool Today. Michelle in the office was so pleasant and helpful in getting me scheduled, but unfortunately the technician was not as great. Quadrea Bain came out and replaced the capacitor on my unit, then told me my compressor was failing and that I shouldn't run the system. He immediately started calling the parts department, pushing financing, and contacting the office to sort out payment before I even had a chance to think. When I told him I wanted to get a second opinion and would not be purchasing the compressor, he left visibly upset and clearly frustrated. I later had another company inspect the unit, and their technician confirmed the compressor was working fine and that the system simply needed a good cleaning. They also discovered the unit is still under manufacturer warranty, which Cool Today never checked or mentioned. I felt rushed and pressured into an unnecessary and costly repair. I expected much more honesty and professionalism from a company with this kind of reputation.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I want to start by stating my complaint is not with the techs that have come out or with the installation itself. We hired Cool Today to install our AC unit back in the spring of 2020 and paid for maintenance for three years. Everything has been great until our AC stopped working last Monday. We obtained quotes from Cool Today and Tri-County to repair it. Only to find out that Cool Today failed to register the unit they installed in 2020 for the 10 year warranty. Not only does the paperwork from the purchase/installation state that this was included and Cool Today would take responsibility for registering the warranty, but it is also stated on their website. We did not find this out from Cool Today, but from Tri-County Air after they quoted a much more reasonable price for the labor and found the unit was not registered. Cool Today's failure to register the unit is now likely delaying the repair until resolved. They have offered no solutions or alternatives to remedy the situation. We have been calling daily and we continue to be told we will get an update soon. It’s been over a week in the middle of a heat wave.

I shouldnt lose work time to wait for someone who isn't even coming. Asked for escalation on friday - its two business days later- still no contact from them. If a whole new system, ductwork, and insulation results in 7 degree disparity in room temperatures from 71-78 degrees to 74-80 degrees. My system is constantly kicking on set at 77. I can't lower it because condensation is literally dripping in a cold room, can't raise it unless people want to sleep in heat. I wish i could return the whole thing and start fresh with a different company because ive already had two no shows from the manager that was supposed to help me, resulting on my friday escalation request. I think i could go to tech school and get certified to fix my own problem faster than this compsny will take care of it. Please evaluate your workforce, have less people selling and more people skilled at install and fixing. Can you please come take this system back? How can i trust a warranty when you dont call and you dont show up?

Cool Today always tries to upsell you. Makes me suspicious if they "forget" things that should have been done at installation. It's annoying after ten years and spending thousands. Too bad another company isn't capable of servicing my equipment.

Lifetime warranty? Since last Sunday 12 calls, including the answering service, promises of call backs. Today, I was told that the part needed was at Johnstone, I offered to go pick it up and was told that the tech had to., but it could not be completed.this weekend due to staffing ! Now, no service til Monday... QA reached out to me, yesterday, and she was very kind and understanding. Unacceptable responses, total disregard for stated, " LIFETIME WARRANTY", @$12.5 K, spent on this unit, and three units in 15 years WHY ? If I could choose zero stars I would.

They quoted $1,987 to replace a fan motor. I knew that was outrageous so I told them no thank you. The very first company I called after that was $1,065! So, I saved over $900 by making one phone call. Although Cool Today technically did not commit a crime, I feel what they did is criminal and at the very least, unethical. They are taking advantage of thousands of people in Florida that don't know any better and it is simply wrong. I have just enough experience to know what things should cost. I am very frustrated that they are still in business given my experience with them. By the way, the OEM part costs $400 without markup and it took the technician 20 minutes to change. The company I used made a nice profit but at least it didn't feel egregious. Cool Today seemed outrageous (and proved to be) and I am glad I shopped around.

We had cool Today (electrical) out to install surge protectors in our panel and ACs. During a visit from a friend, he highly recommended we get a second look at the panel. We did and the electrician stated it was wired completely wrong and was dangerous as wired. We called cool today several times and the “manager” is always supposed to call and never has. Today, they sent a sr technician to our house who confirmed it was not installed correctly and this same “manager” was going to call us at 3pm- never called. So they screw up, make me wait over a month to confirm they screwed up, and then continue to completely blow me off. I was patient but making me wait for any type of response is disrespectful. So before I report this further, just warning the next person.

Wanted over 500 dollars to replace a rubber washer on Shower water shutoff valve to stop a water drip. Service tech said he wasn't sure if he had a rubber washer to stop drip, and that it might cost as much as 1,800 dollars. Paid the service fee, and sent the tech on his way. Do not recommend

Stay away from this company. They sent someone that was to install (hook up) our new waahing machine that had no clue how to do his job. He reinstalled the shipping bolts sayting they were to keep the washer away from the wall. When we started the washer it locked up and jumped across. The room. Then talked to manager that was very condescending and rude. He would not take any responsibility for his techs mistake. Think twice about using this company. There are plenty of good plumbing and HVAC companies out there

First off, our tech Angel was FANTASTIC on both visits. This rating does not reflect his work, but the dispatch and customer service teams really failed during our last interaction with this company. Our AC failed on Monday and Angel was out on Tuesday to assess the issue and told us they needed to order a part and it would be 3 days - no big deal. I got a call from dispatch on Thursday to let me know the part was in and Angel would be out on Friday between 12-4 - we were going to be his second call of the day. Friday comes and it’s 3:30p with no word of an update so I call customer service to get an ETA and I’m told the tech is finishing up his current call and I’ll get a call from him in 10-15 minutes with and ETA. 5:45p I call again and explain that I’m looking for an update and customer service just told me they would have someone call me back. A dispatcher calls 20ish minutes later and says to the new time frame is 8-11pm. I express my frustration that we were told 12-4 and heard nothing from anyone and that this lack of communication was unacceptable. Dispatcher claims that they were going push us ahead, but Angel didn’t arrive until 8pm. Again, Angel was AWESOME. The lack of proactive communication was a major black eye that Cool Today could have avoided.

0 STARS!!! I called on Friday asking for a quote to do a garbage disposal installation and replace washer lines. I was given an appointment window on Saturday from 12-4pm AND an $89 estimate fee just to show up. 5:36pm on Saturday and they are a no show. When I called the office, she put me on hold for several minutes then came back to say, “I don’t know when they will be there, but they say they will be there today.” I asked, “Does that mean 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, or tomorrow?” She said, “I don’t have an ETA, but it will be today.” So I told her I want to cancel my appointment to which she had the audacity to ask, “Are you sure?” I told her, “Absolutely. If you guys can’t even keep time commitments then I wouldn’t hire you anyway. You basically wasted my entire Saturday.” She said, “okay, have a good day.” NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY FOR WASTING MY ENTIRE SATURDAY! WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD! SHAME ON YOU!!!

When I had originally called on Thursday afternoon and scheduled an appointment, I was told that there was an 8am-12pm window for Friday, when I happened to be home from work. At 12:17PM, I was finally called by a technician and told that they were on their way, and about 10-15 minutes out. After waiting for an hour and calling dispatch, twice, I was told that "the service call was cancelled", despite the fact that I did not call and cancel it. Furthermore, both times that I was told they were "contacting dispatch to find out what was going on", I was mysteriously disconnected, despite the fact I was assured that, 'if this call gets disconnected, we have caller-ID and will call you back'. Spoiler warning: I was not called back. This was an absolute waste of my time on one of the few days that I had off of work, and will be happily going to the first competitor that I can have come out and service this issue. Avoid this business at all costs.

I’ve done business with this company in the past and had great experiences up until recently. I had a new mini split installed recently and to make a long story short it had a small leak at the connections. I need a simple fix and recharge of the system. I ask for a quote and boy did I get one, and overage quote to cover the companies cost of materials instead of the company taking care of the customer to ensure that cost over time. They decided to put it all on me by overcharging and when attempting to discuss the situation based on two other quotes that were $300 cheaper, they said there was nothing they could do to help. I will most likely never do business with them again, very disappointing ruining a business relationship this way.

Scheduled an appointment with this company after seeing them listed in “Five Star Rated”. As you can see from my rating here they fell very short of that. Appointment was scheduled the following day between 8am-noon and that the staff would call when on their way. Instead got a call from their office at 11am saying that the tech was running late. They were not able to give me an ETA but they said he would call when on his way. Waited until 2:30pm and no one had called. Called the office back and again asked for an ETA. I was put on an extended hold. Again they would not give me a time frame so I canceled to call someone else after wasting most of the day waiting for them. Five Star Rating service needs to re-evaluate this company-very poor service!

Extremely dissapointed. Scheduled a couple days in advance to cap off water lines under kitchen sink because we have to remove the cabinet. I confirmed the appointment by text the day before. On the appointment date a couple hours before.. we got a call saying they had staff call in sick so they had to cancel. We pleaded with customer service and she followed up by text that a plumber will still come out but running late. This turned into a no call, no show.. no customer service now at this hour. BEWARE!!

The AC unit all of a sudden stopped working. The NEST thermostat in the photo ls what I was told had to be replaced for $379 with an unknown thermostat. But then they said the wiring had to be replaced at the condenser unit. So a 6 foot piece Of fully accessible thermostat wire was $279 For something that cost about five dollars at most. Then they said there was a bad capacitor, that was another $279, first of all there was nothing wrong with the Capacitor because the Condenser fan was running fine before they got there. Anyway, I didn’t want argue with them. So I paid it. The repair men have now become Salesman that get commission on everything they replace. Big scam!

Edwin is fantastic, couldn't be happier with how everything went! We had low coolant and called to have them back out, they sent Ahmad Suliman. He told us there was no leak and all we needed was a recharge. When he went out to take the valve off, he broke it and all the coolant escaped. He then said there was a leak, and that he would repair the valve the next morning. He never showed and their service manage called to tell me it was our fault the valve broke since the unit was old. He then tried to sell us a new unit, or charge us over $5k to repair it. We will never use them again, they broke the valve and are flat our refusing to fix what they did.

This is not the experience anyone would want to have Ngoc (Dean) was the technician for a scheduled service. Had an attitude stayed 20 minutes and sent me 6 invoices total $2500. Never spoke to me. Called 4 times and they’re sending an email to his supervisor. I am still waiting for a cal back.
