I’ve used Cool Today for a variety of services at my home in Sarasota including A/C, Electrical and Plumbing. They helped me with a kitchen remodeling project where I put in an island with a gas range. Most recently, they came out to service my LG mini-split A/C cleaning the filters and treating the coils on all 5 headend units in my house. Jake was the technician. He arrived on time, was thorough in his work and pleasant to work with. He kept me informed of his progress while he worked and explained everything as he completed the maintenance of my systems. He presented me with some preventative options I could consider pointing out a potential issue with these systems, if not properly maintained. He wasn’t pushy about it but gave me the good and the bad side to consider. I strongly recommend using Cool Today for anyone needing assistance with plumbing, electrical or A/C issues. They are pretty fair when it comes to price and do a good job addressing these issues.

I had free service performed after being a new A/C unit in April. I had a 12 to 4 appointment window but the tech arrived at 4:20. he was polite and did the expected maintenance service. However he did not however have the proper equipment to check the refrigerant which was disappointing. That was not his fault, he was not given the proper tools to do his job. Since this unit is new it could be presumed the refrigerant was ok, but why be sent out to do a check, and not check it.

Your thorough and professional assessment and corrective actions thankfully got us through the cold snap. The customer service rep at the Cool Today call center had us a same day appointment in a matter of moments. We were notified prior to arrival and it was well within the expected time. Billy Kerimi is a consummate professional who not only fixed the problem but explained what was accomplished. The management worked with us in arriving at a more than fair price . I purchased a preventative maintenance program because I was so impressed by everything Cool Today provided and highly recommend them.

The technician was told the the visit was to replace washer hoses. In fact, we needed a quote to install a new stacked washer dryer with new plumbing and electrical hook ups. A project estimator now has to come out to give us the quote we need.

Our hot water heater quit heating this AM. We did not discover it until around noon. We called Cool Today and a nice technician came over at 2. He diagnosed it as unrepairable and went back and had it replaced for our baths tonight. I was so afraid that we would have to wait until tomorrow (it was forecast to be near freezing tonight). My sister came over to visit today. She stays in a motorhome in central Florida and was looking forward to a nice, warm bath in a REAL BATHROOM. Cool Today made that happen. Thank you. Im sure he worked overtime to finish the installation.

They were very competitive and professional. They did follow-ups before the sale but not high pressure, it was more informative. We have used Cool Today for two years now and found out about them through a program they have in partnership with The Home Depot. Eliseo was our tech today. He was polite, professional, and enjoyable to chat with as he performed routine maintenance on our HVAC system. At his suggestion, which was clearly presented and backed by the evidence of our need, we had a UV light installed. He called in advance to see if he could arrive almost two hours early, which was an added bonus since it fit right into our schedule. If you are trying to decide who to call, you won’t be disappointed — especially if you go through The Home Depot. And as Braves fans, Cool Today supports our team as the stadium sponsor of their spring training home in North Port.

At 10:30 this morning, I discovered our water heater was leaking in the garage. I called Cool Today, which said they could get a service technician to my house between noon and 4 p.m. Ken Planz arrived at 1:30 pm. He concluded the heater needed replacing and did have a spare in his truck. He removed the old tank and installed the new one before 4 p.m. He did an excellent job and answered all my questions. I'm very happy.

I appreciated their great effort today to see me on Siesta Key. We had a miscommunication about appointments (always get a text or email confirmation). But the plumber that arrived was experienced and understanding. We had to pull a pretty toilet that had a simple broken part but was not built for easy maintenance. They tried to explore a simpler solution, but in the end the older toilet needed to be pulled, part replaced and re set. I am keeping their number handy to help me maintain my condo.

I'm a snowbird, and when I arrived at my Florida condo, I smelled something like burning wires and also couldn't get much hot water. When I called Cool Today, they had an electrician here within a few hours--who determined that my hot water heater had shorted out. He disconnected the power, and the next day a plumber installed a new water heater. The cost was much less than I had anticipated and they offered a 6 year warranty on the water heater. I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism, prompt service, and excellent value from Cool Today.

Roman was my Technician he began by telling how the hot water tank functions. Explained he would do to analyze issue of no hot water. We concluded putting in a new tank, this one is 12 years old. He explained what needed to change which was minimal, a tank and couple of new pex tubes, following draining the tank. Installation was quick and clean. He explained warranty and future care. I let Oman work in my home anytime.

Was told on phone tech would be getting 89 dollar service call charge plus parts, but when he showed up I was busy at another location and the on duty manager was told $150 cash and all we got out of this was a picture taken by tech of a faulty component and told manager it would be 195 plus part, which had to be ordered, completely conflicting with what I was told on phone. Had I been there, I would have told him no, were not paying for info we already knew and that this was not what I was told on phone. So now we paid 150 just for this tech to come out and tell us what we already knew, and it's still not repaired. Be wary of dealing with this company.

Update 1/1/26: Increasing to 4 stars. Latest service call was excellent. Juan was very polite, knowledgeable and helpful with his advice. He completed the maintenance work professionally. Very satisfied. July 2025: In general I've been happy with Cool Today, but it's a large company so each time we often have a different technician. This time, the technician was, as usual, very polite and nice but I was a bit disappointed in that he reinstalled the lattice to the AC unit crooked and incomplete to where I had to add 4 additional screws to properly secure it. Plus, I did not receive a detailed evaluation of the AC status like I did in the past. Finally, my wife heard him on the call asking for further instructions on how to make the repair that he said I needed. Not exactly a confidence builder.
