Joe St. John was excellent! Our A/C has been broken off an on for at least 7 weeks. I had house guests the entire time and they could not inhabit the guest house! Cool Today came several times (at least 5 times) but Joe actually fixed it today!

They did show up on time. Within minutes of the tech arriving, I was told that a one year old unit was cheap and peace of junk. Prior to this unit I had a Trane. That unit had three repairs in four years covered under warranty but still had to pay 2300 labor each repair. That was junk. You just don't was in to a home and call a new unit junk. A rock may have hit the coils during mowing. You don't know. Then charging $160 dollars a pound for 410a refrigerant is obscene. A 25lb cylinder is $329. That is corporate greed at its worst. The tech said I need at least 9 lbs in a 10 lbs unit. EPA 608 leak threshold for residential is 10% . Did not even offer to repair the leak just to recharge against EPA regulations. He did reiterate that the one year unit should be replaced. Then you wonder why people don't like or trust A/C companies

I retired from Carrier Corporation after 40 years of service and senior management, overseeing over 7,000 dealers and 50 wholly owned and independent distributors. The service we received from Cool Today Cooling exceeded anything I have seen anywhere in the USA or internationally. Ronnie was our tech. My wife and I had altitude sickness in Colorado at Loveland Pass. We flew on oxygen 24/7 back to Bradenton yesterday. We called Cool Today at 4 pm In Bradenton yesterday. Ronnie came at 5 pm on a Saturday after a 14-hour shift. Our AC airhandler was down, and the house was a humid 92. We were sure it was back to the hospital. Ronnie diagnosed a bad motor, found one an hour away, picked it up, and had our home cooling by 10 pm. I cannot thank Cool Today and, particularly Ronnie for outstanding service. My wife said to send a big heart from her!

We used a different AC company for our commercial install and regret not going with Cool Today. But they came in after we were open for a couple of years when things started going wrong and saved the day. They do our maintenance and repair.

The only disappointment is that Cool Today no longer provides the 4 hour window. This was a very important consideration for my wife and myself. Other than that, good work by Steve.

Service technician Alex was very professional knowledgeable and listened to my explanation of the problem being experienced. He immediately understood and started to trouble shoot, he found the problem within 10 minutes. Alex explained and showed thoroughly to me what caused the problem. He made the repair and checked to make sure it was done satisfactory for me. I can't give more than 5 stars but Alex and Cool Today deserve 10+ stars. I will definitely recommend Cool Today to my friends if they ever need a great company for any electrical issue they may have.

I am very impressed with the caliber of employees that Cool Today hires. Very satisfied with all levels: plumbing, electrical, and air. Interestingly, there was an article online this morning about the dangers of publicly treated water. Chlorine has been linked to many illnesses. Had new system installed about a month ago. While the unit works fine, they left my house worse than before they did the work. I have a hole in my ceiling where they either put their foot through or dropped something, there's a huge whole in the stucco on the side of my house where they changed the breaker box, and they did a poor job of replacing the molding around the attic access. Was told two weeks ago that someone would call to schedule the repairs, but still have not heard from anyone. Edit 8/20/25: Finally heard from drywall repair company 8/14. They asked what days and times I would be home for them to do repair of ceiling and said they would call back to schedule. Stt have not heard from them. Feel like I am being ghosted.

We have not been happy with our last few maintenance check ups on our unit. Every time they fix something within 24 hours something doesn’t work on one of the units. Then we have to schedule another visit for somebody to come out to fix it when it worked prior to the check up. Also, every time they come out is thousands of dollars that they have to fix when the unit was working just fine before. I’m not sure we’re getting our moneys worth.

This was the best customer service we have ever experienced. The first visit from Rob was a great encounter. He was very patient and knowledgeable on the products and services. He explained everything clearly and step by step on how the process would go. He really went above and beyond to help us finance the best unit for our needs. The process was extremely fast and simple. On the day of the install, Johnny nd Edwin arrived on time and were amazing off the bat. Both were friendly but still got straight into it immediately. They worked so hard and diligently. We were amazed at how much work it was and they did it efficiently. I applaud them, especially in this Florida 90 degree weather. Our AC unit was making a screeching noise, plus it was nearly twenty years old. Chris was able to come out and give me some quotes on new units within a couple of days. The day after I received the quote (a Thursday), the unit completely stopped working. I was worried that we would be without AC for the entire weekend. But I called Chris and he was able to schedule my install for the next morning. They were great to work with!

I`d put Zero stars instead of 1 star if there was such an option. I bought a house with new AC unit installed by previous owner, it worked perfectly. Signed up for regular maintenance with Cool Today. The unit stopped working shortly after the first maintenance. Had multiple visits from Cool Today coming up with all kinds of issues, that did not fix the problem, the AC was no longer operational. The most outrageous suggestion I got from Cool Today was that I needed to tear down the excellent metal ducts that were in perfect like new condition and had to replace them with new ones provided by Cool Today, the cost of work 15K+. This was the last straw that tipped me off, I called several expert inspectors to inspect my AC unit. The finding made by one of them was shocking - there was a hole in the coolant pipe, that could not appear there on its own, somebody had to physically poke the pipe, the coolant leaked out and evaporated that irreparable damage to the running AC. Nobody had access to or opened the AC, but Cool Today team during the maintenance. Besides the unit was shifted during the maintenance in a way that jammed the goffer and the air could not flow in the house no matter how hard the AC worked, with leaking coolant on top of that. These are just facts. It does not come to not enough knowledge, it comes down to alleged intentional damage of my property and unfair business practices, in my opinion. If I`d stayed with Cool Today and followed their advice they would have proceeded with the ducts work replacement, but the AC was irreparably broken at the time, so they would follow with AC replacement as well. I am honestly terrified that this company is out there after having dealt with them.

With my semi-annual AC checkup maintenance program, I also receive a plumbing inspection and electrical inspection. Today, my water inspection was completed and Kevin did a great job explaining what’s looking good and what’s not. Preventative maintenance is always cheaper than an emergency repair. Thanks for the heads-up on those items that need to be looked at! (I also got my water heater drained today - checking for sediment.)
