I am extremely disappointed with Cool Today! They were supposed to come yesterday between 12-4. At 4:00, they still haven’t arrived, so I called them. They said they were going to check with dispatch. After a long hold, they came back on and said that the technician got held up at another job and they don’t know the ETA. At 6:00, they still haven’t arrived. So I called them again. After putting me on hold again, they said he is still tied up. He finally called at almost 7:00. He was not very nice and said he is just leaving his job, but he is about 1.5-2 hour away and if I still wanted to come or reschedule. I said I’m going to call the main number to reschedule. He said I didn’t have to do that and that he will do it for me. I said no…I want to talk with them myself. After hanging up, I called and rescheduled for today. The dispatcher said he will definitely be there by noon, maybe earlier because he is quick at jobs. At 12:15 today, I have not heard from him, so I called. Again, they said he got hung up at a job. I explained this is my second time in two days going through this, and I have to leave the house at 2pm for another appointment. She said she will make a note of that, and someone will call me. The technician called me at 12:50 and asked which plan I had and who’s supplying the sink. I told him they are. And then he says he is going to have to reschedule because their supply department closed at noon. What?!?! He said he didn’t have a choice because nobody told him. This is the last straw, Cool Today. This is the worst customer service I have ever received!!!!!!

Paid for the maintenance plan…. Informed that after hours service was available and scheduled an appointment. The plumber did not show or call. In addition, not even a callback when the emergency after hours line called. Don’t waste your money with the maintenance plan or this company.

Worst service i have ever had with cooltoday guy came and I could tell he did not want to be here was supposed to service my unit. Spent about 15 min on unit in garage never even looked at unit back of house when he was done I asked him if he put a new filter in he said no. So I handed him one that I bought at lowes. He said I'm done have a good day and walked to his van and left. This is a company that is supposed to give high end service I don't think so. Do not recommend this company and will be looking for another one to service me

I live in Michigan. I have a Wi-Fi thermostat at my Florida house realized the temperature was going up called them up. They came out. Told me I needed a capacitor and a contactor switch $758. I said go ahead and do it very next day I a/c still not working. They came out again now they’re telling me that I need to spend another $2800 to fix the problem that they did not catch the first time they were there. Supposedly this company is a scam. Do not trust them. sadly, I can’t give them zero stars

Called their number to ask for help with getting the appropriate foam filter for my AC unit but was only met with No's and "I can't help with that". Zero attempt to figure out the request. The phone representative only offered to send a technician out despite me repeating it's just a question about the foam filter. Overall it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had this year. All they had to do was put effort into helping a customer and they wouldn't even try!

Back in July 2024 I had Cool Today install an air conditioner for over $10,000. It is a package unit so it’s just pick up drop in and then connect and it’s done so we all thought the unit worked fine. It just wasn’t installed properly and it took six months for them to install it right? In December 2024 they came out and fixed what they didn’t do the first time they were here back in July in between July and December I had at least 20 visits from them complaining about the temperature difference because one temperature said 76°, which was on there thermometer And all the other thermometers in the house which I had bought from Amazon said 80. Well they realize what they did wrong and they came out and fixed it in December. Which was good they fixed the way it was sitting on the slab. They poured concrete they they did it all just right now. It’s April 2025. The form is still around the air-conditioning unit waiting to be removed. The sand that’s pile around the forms came from my yard they dug a hole inside my yard And they were kind enough to fill it with the leftover concrete. I’ve called about this and I’m still waiting to hear back from them. Their service is very good because they come out most times on the same day. I’ve had them out here as late as 10 PM at night fixing my air conditioner, but when it comes to being professional and treating your property like it was theirs is a big fail. I will use them for servicing this great air conditioner if it works cause I don’t know because I got in December and I don’t know if it’s gonna cool my house properly yet still with my fingers crossed it seems to be working well at the moment. Use them for service. Don’t use them for installation of a new unit.

I had Cool Today come to get an estimate to remove and clean the dirty coil in my A/C. I was quoted $2400. Got a quote the next day for $800 from Nice Air. The guy from Cool Today did clean the drain pipe from the A/C. Charged me $279.00, poured 2 gallons of hot water in the pipe, and was here for about an hour. Spent most of that time trying to sell me a new unit for $9000-$10,000. The guys from Nice Air cut the drain pipe to find a huge clog. They put a snake in the pipe and did a proper job. Lots of gunk came out. I'll be calling Nice Air from now on.

Purchased an annual care plan from Cool Today and after scheduling the electrical safety inspection included in the plan, it was canceled and had to reschedule. Then after scheduling the plumbing safety inspection, the technician didn’t make it within the noon to 4 timeline and well after 4pm, still no word from the technician, not even to let us know he was going to late. Called Cool Today custom service to reschedule after wasting a whole afternoon waiting, they couldn’t get me rescheduled until sometime in June (it’s April 15). Absolutely the worst customer care and the care plan was a total waste of money. Will never, ever us Cool Today again.

Cool Today came out to give me the 29 dollar inspection. The tech said I needed a deep cleaning and it required 2 techs and it was going to cost 2,240 dollars. I said that’s ridiculous and I paid 1400 to install it. He said he has been working for over 30 years and that’s the way it is. Over 2000 dollars to clean a mini split. I would gladly pay up to 500 dollars but that’s highway robbery.

Had plumber out to evaluate shower faucet that was not working. He said we needed a complete new faucet and quoted 1800.00$ to replace the faucet and the shower is plastic easy access in wall behind it from closet. We went to lowes and purchased a new knob and cartridge took 30mins to change out and it was less than 50$! Why he said it was a 1800$ job i have no idea but it was the most absurd price for a simple fix that wasn't even the issue! Beware. He also didn't even have the part on his truck to even repair if we did want it repaired and said they couldn't come back have until Monday to get it fixed!

Unreliable Service & Inconsistent Technicians Cool Today has been a huge disappointment. Every time they send a technician, it’s someone new who isn’t familiar with my system, leading to inconsistent service and repeated issues. Instead of properly fixing things, they waste time upselling unnecessary services. It feels like they prioritize sales over actual customer satisfaction. There techs don't know and don't even thing of getting a manager to fix your problem they are worthless, won't even give you a call back For the high prices they charge, I expect reliability and expertise—not a guessing game with different techs every visit. If you want consistent, professional service, look elsewhere. They are not it.

Cool Today is a predatory business that doesn't actually seem to care about their customers, or is ill equipped to offer simple customer resolution. In short, about a year ago, they installed an electric tankless hot water heater for my mother. I believed that annual service was a wise choice for this unit. So I scheduled this for about a month ago - mind you, I indicated they were the installer. Service was scheduled. No one asked me how old the unit was and no one said that typically for tankless units connected to a water softener, service is not needed for a few years if there are no operational issues. This would have been a great time to have that conversation. The tech showed up as scheduled - proceeded to tell my mom "he didn't know why he was there" and then indicated that service was not really needed for 2 or 3 years on a unit like this - especially if being fed from a water softener. Great! What's not great - BOOM! We will now be charging you for "dispatch" at $89... And... (Service tech proceeds) I will now attempt to sell you a bunch of needless services that you didn't ask for and while I exploit that I am in your home. This is the MO of a service tech who is one-on-one in my mom's house, overstaying the welcome. Guess what we weren't told when I booked the service? That if you declined to proceed with service, you would be charged $89 for a "dispatch fee". I called and attempted to speak to a service manager, who is completely shielded by the low-level employees who just answer the phones. What is bizarre is that when I was on one of these phone calls and asked to speak to a service manager, I was immediately told "no one is available"... To which I responded, how would you know that without even asking? And I was told "because they are all in the field". One person in customer service offered that the dispatch fee would be subtracted from a future service call. Unfortunately, when I called back there was no record of this conversation even though you are advised that calls are being recorded? Four phone calls later, I finally had someone call me back from the "quality assurance team" - Donna. So I proceed to tell the story all over again and infuriated at this point for the amount of time that I've spent trying to chase after $89 - let's just say it's cost me a lot more than $89 to chase after it, but it's the principal of the matter. Finally, I feel like there's progress because Donna indicates that they will refund the dispatch fee, this is not how Cool Today does business. Cool Today - actually Terrible Today, Terrible Yesterday and probably Terrible Tomorrow. Your Money Today, flushed down the toilet. A snappier tagline! Do yourself a favor. Don't make the same mistake I did and hire a more local, smaller HVAC company to take care of your mechanical needs.

From the start of the installation to the free year of maintenance to my recent tech visit giving Cool Today a final chance, I would not recommend Cool Today. Cook Today installed the incorrect air handler to start then try to sell more equipment with each maintenance check and now when the heat was needed and not working provide an inaccurate assumption of the cause. They wanted almost $400 to clean/clear the drain line. I declined and when I got home I poured water down it and it came out at the end outside. I messaged with no answer to my question and called in which I was hung up on. DO NOT CHOOSE COOL TODAY!

Beware of CoolIt Today ‼️We called cool it today as our heat seamed to be not working and had a person come out named Donald and he quoted us $2800 to rewire our air-conditioning system to our thermostat. Said we needed to rewire out thermostat in our house is not a brand new house so I questioned how could this have happened? How do the wires change? He didn’t really have an answer for that said sometimes that happens. He made it so that the heat would at least come on which went out about two hours later. I called back and they wanted to charge me again to come out for emergency service which we had already paid them. I did not do that. I called someone else they came out in the morning. It cost $99 to fix it. there was nothing wrong with the wires as a total scam on coolit today ‼️‼️‼️consider this absolutely theft. Feel bad that someone else may have not gotten a second opinion. And would’ve paid that for nothing .. this is such an upsetting situation to have happened. Please be aware of cool it today that they work on commission basis so if you have a problem they’re gonna give you the most expensive option to fix it. Something that really cost the call from another company they tried to sell me new wiring. Which it did not need at all.

I wanted to share my experience as a customer with your company and give you some insight into what is going on in your day-to-day operation. I purchased my home in Feb 2021 and the previous owner purchased a new AC unit with Easy AC (now Cool Today) on 9/29/2019. She mentioned that she had a plan with Cool Today where the AC was serviced every 6 months and I decided to continue this service plan and still have this plan active today. I kept up with maintenance every 6 months. Every technician is different, and they all try to sell you things. I have 3 major concerns. 1.) The original installers didn't install the unit level and didn't remove the bypass duct work. It took almost 5 years for someone to discover this despite someone coming out every 6 months and sometimes coming out multiple times. This also led to operational costs for your company because the root cause was not resolved until now, technicians only provided band-aid fixes 2.) The evaporator coils were dirty from insulation and excessive moisture. This led to needing to replace the coil and was also caused by the install team. 3) Many times, technicians didn't follow through or didn't arrive during the promised timeframe causing me to have to rearrange my work schedule or must take the effort to call back. The Quality Assurance Technician indicated that the issues with the original install led to the insulation getting into the coils. The team that releveled the unit indicated that the excess moisture was also caused by the install team not removing the flex bypass duct for an old zoning unit. I ended paying $2400 for issues that were because of the negligence and shortcuts by your install team and I should be reimbursed for this. As they pulled out duct work that was wet, I am concerned with what my family has been breathing in over the past 3 years. Also, my ac is running better now and has more power and over the years my electric bills have been higher because the unit had to run harder. I have been trying to get someone in Management to call me about this and I was talking to someone back in September 2024 who said someone would call me. I followed up with him in November and earlier this month and he has completely ghosted me. I don't remember his name, but his number ends in 7876. I am very disappointed and will likely not renew my contract in April.

I would give a ZERO review if i could. STAY AWAY do not call these guys unless you want to get ripped off. I called them about my blower motor which stopped working. I called Cool Today & he told me it would cost me $1300.00 to replace the motor and labor as motor was not under warranty. So I did some investigating and found that I can get a motor between $300-$500 so I bought 1 and put it in but I must of got a bad unit as it did not work. So I called these guys again to see if the 1st guy may have been off but no he said it was the motor only to find out this guy wanted $1600.00 to replace the motor as they both told me the motor wasn't under warranty. So I sent them on their way after I paid the their rip off fee. So I decided to call an other company Foundation Air, guy can and diagnosed it said the same thing the motor is no good. Ok how much Foundation Air told me that the motor was under warranty so NO CHARGE FOR THE MOTOR as Cool today wanted an astronomical fee for the motor and install, and I only had to pay him $280.00 for the install. Moral of this story is if you need some AC work done, you might NOT want to call cool today. Call a company that actually knows what they're doing. Foundation air friendly. Very nice person came down to do the work. He was very honest and told me my motor was under warranty. Office lady Jamie that I called was extremely friendly. All around great experience with foundation Air. Stay away from Cool Today as they're looking to GET rich overnight and RIP YOU OFF.

Hired to look at a possible electrical issue for my AC unit. After that was taken care of, claimed I had low coolant. Knowing my air was ice cold before the electrical issue, I got a second opinion. Coolant was perfect. No issue. Not a good look asking for 400+ dollars to repair. Based on recent low reviews, seems to be happening more and more.

Social Nonsense

I don’t know what happened to this company over the last few months! Several months ago, I had them install at my personal residence. Response time, pricing and installation were excellent. Fast forward few months and I need to replace the AC at my daughters house. The experience was the direct opposite of my first experience. Yes, they showed up to give me a quote pretty quickly. However, the quote had no details as to units specifications. I had called several times asking for clarification and not one person responded Even after I left a message that I was going to call another company…. Crickets… My understanding is that they are starting to push their own AC units with their own badging. You really don’t know what you’re getting which explains why their quote did not include any specifics. Too bad. They really had their act together, but they have fallen apart.

We replaced a forced-air furnace and air conditioner with a Carrier Heat Pump. This was the worst installation ever. They did very sloppy work. The 1st crew did such a poor job they had to send a 2nd crew who took over 48 hours to fix the issues. For example; the switch wire was cut off at the breaker and rewiring for the pump was needed. Insulation on the copper refrigerant lines was damaged. Spray foam was holding the outside trim soffit. Attic plumbing was left lying on the duct work collapsing the ducts in multiple locations. The circuit breaker wiring power shielding was not taken off. The thermostat wire was cut during installation. The gas line was not capped. The plumbing was installed across the unit access panel so it couldn't be opened. The company, specifically a supervisor named Preston, was tough to work with and refused to return phone calls or emails.

Again, Cool Today tried to take advantage of my elderly father in law.The tech said the saftey float switch is bad, along with the U.V. light.Yes the float switch is bad,, but the U.V. light is glowing bright. Asked if the older trustworthy tech was available, they said.. they didnt know, or have the ability to see if he was. I have the pictures of the bad float switch, and WORKING U.V. light. Will try and post next.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE . FOLLOWING THERE VAN/TRAILER ON 75 WHEN THERE FENDER BLEW OFF SMACKING MY TRUCK. SMASHED MY MIRROR INTO MY DOOR. CAUSED PAINT DAMAGE., BROKE THE MIRROR AND DENTED THE DOOR. I PULLED THEM OFF THE HIGHWAY TO GET NAMES AND SHOW THE DAMAGE. ALL I ASKED FOR WAS A NEW $50 MIRROR FROM AMAZON. I HAVE 7 KIDS AND XMAS WAS TIGHT. THEY WONT RETURN MY CALLS. NO ONE CARES. I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
