Unreliable Service & Inconsistent Technicians Cool Today has been a huge disappointment. Every time they send a technician, it’s someone new who isn’t familiar with my system, leading to inconsistent service and repeated issues. Instead of properly fixing things, they waste time upselling unnecessary services. It feels like they prioritize sales over actual customer satisfaction. There techs don't know and don't even thing of getting a manager to fix your problem they are worthless, won't even give you a call back For the high prices they charge, I expect reliability and expertise—not a guessing game with different techs every visit. If you want consistent, professional service, look elsewhere. They are not it.

We have spent a tremendous amount of money with your company. We have been giving different instructions on one project regarding the Halo water purifying system. I still don't understand what I should be doing., You put in a new generator and was told by Brian that the generator would provide enough energy for the entire house for two weeks. The first storm we had just three days of energy. We had only the refrigerator and a few lights on. Needless to say I have been very disappointed in the generator situation as well as the Halo. We continue to use your organization because of the annual inspections program. This is against my better judgements. Thank you for your time.

Prices are high: $440 to unclog (snake) the main toilet and snake the master bath sink from hair. It took all of 20-25 min from the time he started to the time he was done working. He came in at 3:15, figured out the issues, and did the work needed. He took a few minutes to take my payment, defended the high price, and left at 3:45. He was here half an hour, did excellent work and was very pleasant, but WOW, that was a lot of money for half an hour of his time, his skill, and I needed NO supplies. However, I am relieved that it’s resolved.

Tech (Samuel), arrived right on time. He introduced himself and then set to work. I accompanied him as he worked, and he explained everything he was doing. He made reccomdations for part replacements, as well as for added protection for mildew control within my HVAC unit. (He showed me where the mildew was growing.) He worked efficiently and quickly. When he finished everything was working perfectly. I feel I got great service from an experienced HVAC technician. Cool Today is great at keeping your unit working at maximum efficiency. I highly reccomend them.

Your tech showed up on time and got the toilet working, but I didn't appreciate him trying to sell me a new toilet. The one he just worked on is only a few months old! He made a point to tell me that our renters did not plug the toilet and the reason that we had a problem was because our toilet wasn't powerful enough. He tried to upsell me to a pressure assist toilet like in a public restroom, instead of a gravity toilet like 99% of the toilets in people's houses in America. Other than that they did a good job and the price was reasonable.

I had an amazing experience with Cool Today/Plumbing Today. I got a text from our VRBO guests staying in our home while we’re away. She said a shower head had only a trickle of water, no pressure. After checking into possible causes, couldn’t determine it, so I called Plumbing Today, (because of the good reviews). They went to the house within 3 hrs., and the plumber discovered the shower head was just loose. So he didn’t charge me for the work, and the service fee was even less than what I expected! I’m a HAPPY WOMAN! And will definitely use them again!

Cool Today is a predatory business that doesn't actually seem to care about their customers, or is ill equipped to offer simple customer resolution. In short, about a year ago, they installed an electric tankless hot water heater for my mother. I believed that annual service was a wise choice for this unit. So I scheduled this for about a month ago - mind you, I indicated they were the installer. Service was scheduled. No one asked me how old the unit was and no one said that typically for tankless units connected to a water softener, service is not needed for a few years if there are no operational issues. This would have been a great time to have that conversation. The tech showed up as scheduled - proceeded to tell my mom "he didn't know why he was there" and then indicated that service was not really needed for 2 or 3 years on a unit like this - especially if being fed from a water softener. Great! What's not great - BOOM! We will now be charging you for "dispatch" at $89... And... (Service tech proceeds) I will now attempt to sell you a bunch of needless services that you didn't ask for and while I exploit that I am in your home. This is the MO of a service tech who is one-on-one in my mom's house, overstaying the welcome. Guess what we weren't told when I booked the service? That if you declined to proceed with service, you would be charged $89 for a "dispatch fee". I called and attempted to speak to a service manager, who is completely shielded by the low-level employees who just answer the phones. What is bizarre is that when I was on one of these phone calls and asked to speak to a service manager, I was immediately told "no one is available"... To which I responded, how would you know that without even asking? And I was told "because they are all in the field". One person in customer service offered that the dispatch fee would be subtracted from a future service call. Unfortunately, when I called back there was no record of this conversation even though you are advised that calls are being recorded? Four phone calls later, I finally had someone call me back from the "quality assurance team" - Donna. So I proceed to tell the story all over again and infuriated at this point for the amount of time that I've spent trying to chase after $89 - let's just say it's cost me a lot more than $89 to chase after it, but it's the principal of the matter. Finally, I feel like there's progress because Donna indicates that they will refund the dispatch fee, this is not how Cool Today does business. Cool Today - actually Terrible Today, Terrible Yesterday and probably Terrible Tomorrow. Your Money Today, flushed down the toilet. A snappier tagline! Do yourself a favor. Don't make the same mistake I did and hire a more local, smaller HVAC company to take care of your mechanical needs.

I made an appointment and asked to do a maintenance appointment for my air handler. I made the appointment over the phone I specifically asked the lady if they would be putting in a new filter and cleaning the coils. She answered “yes” to both questions. The technician came, not sure what he did because he said they don’t change filters unless I give him a filter that I supple, and he would install it, which was ridiculous because I could do that myself, and that cleaning the coils was an exorbitant extra fee. I did not call to schedule an exam on my unit, I called to schedule maintenance. Maintenance is “The act of keeping something in good condition, or preserving it from decline.” Well, without cleaning the coils and replacing the filter, this was not preserving my furnace from decline. I feel that I was scammed and misled. He examined my air handler, told me what needed to be done and then asked for outrageous fees. He also kept pushing me to buy a package deal, which was very expensive.. That is misleading and I believe dishonest. The technician blamed the incident on the lady who scheduled it.

Cool today showed up quickly, and on time. Our rep was professional and knowledgeable. However, our unit was under factory warranty, and we were quoted $750 labor to change a fan motor. This should be a 1 hour job. $750 per hour seems excessive to me. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but they sent me multiple review requests, so this is my honest review. I am getting additional estimates.

I had a technician, Robert Guerra, come to my house the other day for maintenance on my air conditioner. Rob was very polite, personable and knowledgeable. In fact, he suggested I get a surge protector for my unit, which I will take his advice and purchase in a few months before hurricane season! I purchased my unit from Cool Today August 2024. The temperature in my home at the time was 90 degrees. It was brutally hot!! I called my, at the time, current a/c company which I had for seven years. It took a couple days before they called back and said they were very busy and couldn’t get to me for another three days. My son suggested I call the company he was with, Cool Today. I called the number and within a couple hours a technician was out, then a salesman and the next day a new unit was installed. Everyone that I dealt with was wonderful including the employees that answer the phones. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are the best!!

From the start of the installation to the free year of maintenance to my recent tech visit giving Cool Today a final chance, I would not recommend Cool Today. Cook Today installed the incorrect air handler to start then try to sell more equipment with each maintenance check and now when the heat was needed and not working provide an inaccurate assumption of the cause. They wanted almost $400 to clean/clear the drain line. I declined and when I got home I poured water down it and it came out at the end outside. I messaged with no answer to my question and called in which I was hung up on. DO NOT CHOOSE COOL TODAY!

Beware of CoolIt Today ‼️We called cool it today as our heat seamed to be not working and had a person come out named Donald and he quoted us $2800 to rewire our air-conditioning system to our thermostat. Said we needed to rewire out thermostat in our house is not a brand new house so I questioned how could this have happened? How do the wires change? He didn’t really have an answer for that said sometimes that happens. He made it so that the heat would at least come on which went out about two hours later. I called back and they wanted to charge me again to come out for emergency service which we had already paid them. I did not do that. I called someone else they came out in the morning. It cost $99 to fix it. there was nothing wrong with the wires as a total scam on coolit today ‼️‼️‼️consider this absolutely theft. Feel bad that someone else may have not gotten a second opinion. And would’ve paid that for nothing .. this is such an upsetting situation to have happened. Please be aware of cool it today that they work on commission basis so if you have a problem they’re gonna give you the most expensive option to fix it. Something that really cost the call from another company they tried to sell me new wiring. Which it did not need at all.

I wanted to share my experience as a customer with your company and give you some insight into what is going on in your day-to-day operation. I purchased my home in Feb 2021 and the previous owner purchased a new AC unit with Easy AC (now Cool Today) on 9/29/2019. She mentioned that she had a plan with Cool Today where the AC was serviced every 6 months and I decided to continue this service plan and still have this plan active today. I kept up with maintenance every 6 months. Every technician is different, and they all try to sell you things. I have 3 major concerns. 1.) The original installers didn't install the unit level and didn't remove the bypass duct work. It took almost 5 years for someone to discover this despite someone coming out every 6 months and sometimes coming out multiple times. This also led to operational costs for your company because the root cause was not resolved until now, technicians only provided band-aid fixes 2.) The evaporator coils were dirty from insulation and excessive moisture. This led to needing to replace the coil and was also caused by the install team. 3) Many times, technicians didn't follow through or didn't arrive during the promised timeframe causing me to have to rearrange my work schedule or must take the effort to call back. The Quality Assurance Technician indicated that the issues with the original install led to the insulation getting into the coils. The team that releveled the unit indicated that the excess moisture was also caused by the install team not removing the flex bypass duct for an old zoning unit. I ended paying $2400 for issues that were because of the negligence and shortcuts by your install team and I should be reimbursed for this. As they pulled out duct work that was wet, I am concerned with what my family has been breathing in over the past 3 years. Also, my ac is running better now and has more power and over the years my electric bills have been higher because the unit had to run harder. I have been trying to get someone in Management to call me about this and I was talking to someone back in September 2024 who said someone would call me. I followed up with him in November and earlier this month and he has completely ghosted me. I don't remember his name, but his number ends in 7876. I'd like to give your company a 5 but I can't, they were on time and csme out the same day to replace a backflow damaged by the roofing company. A few days later the called to advise that they needed to certify the installation. When they arrived they failed the installation advising me that the wrong valve was installed? They didn't seem to know what they were talking about and that they would get back to me. It was possible a reinstall would be needed at no cost to me. They had me fill out a cross country control survey and that's the last that I heard. Updated- they contacted me stopped by and resolved the issue. They even issued a partial refund after work was completed. So they moved up to a 5 star.

Marion from Plumbing Today came to do a plumbing inspection. He was very thorough and professional! He checked all the sinks drains every thing and even flushed the hot water tank. I would highly recommend Plumbing Today! I also use their Cool Today and Electical Today. I have a maintenance agreement with them for Cool Today Plumbing Today and Electric Today. I wouldn't use anybody else for my maintenance. I highly recommend them!

I bought a new air conditioning system from cool today about 12 months ago. It works great and I have found the service people very responsive, they show up on time and are easy to converse with. Others tell me that they think I could have spent less money but since I only talked to cool today I'm not sure about that. But I have seen some installation or service failures by other HVAC contractors. So sometimes you get what you pay for. Thank you. Kurt Gjerde Port Charlotte Florida.

A very professional service man arrived and did what he was scheduled to do. Only one problem… he was here at 9:30 am. My window was between 12 and 4 pm. I have my email confirming the time window as well . Glad I was home. I have to have a gas plumber again after my appliance is delivered. Hope it doesn’t happen again. Otherwise I am very happy with the service.

When i bought the water softener I was told the salt would be good for a year. Now it's been over a year and tells me I have 463 to go. So I was concerned and called Cool Today. A technician came today and charged me 175 dollars for 1/2 hrs. He told me everything is fine.and normal. How was i to know, the salesman said to add salt once a year. The unit comes with no manual, so you are dependent on Cool Today for anything. This is our third house that we have used Cool Today. I was going to have them maintain my air conditioner and heat pump. But not now.
