This is not the experience anyone would want to have Ngoc (Dean) was the technician for a scheduled service. Had an attitude stayed 20 minutes and sent me 6 invoices total $2500. Never spoke to me. Called 4 times and they’re sending an email to his supervisor. I am still waiting for a cal back.

I noticed one of our vents was looking dirty. The first company I called took a look and told me they could clean it, but it would just come back, so they suggested cleaning all the ducts AND a new AC unit with a UV light. ($12k+) The second company-COOL TODAY looked at the unit, got on a ladder and showed me our ducts are clean and installed nice and tight. No problem there. Then I showed him the space under the AC unit that’s in a closet. I opened the big vent where I put our AC filter. Behind the vent, looking UP Under the AC unit is the tray and it’s BLACK up there. Reason being. . . The house is cool, but that space and the tray are Hot, even tho the house is at 76 degrees. Sooo the tech, RODOLFO MCINTIRE cleaned all the BLACK, sprayed it, did the maintenance on the unit and installed their best UV system with Oxidizer that will kill growth, virus, odors, and dust mites and comes with a Life Time Warranty. (Never mentioned a new unit because this one is working fine.). RODOLFO does a great job explaining everything. For our snowbirds-although it costs extra, this is FL-humid, mold country. I now know it is best during the hot summer months, even if we’re not here, to keep the AC at 76/77 to keep everything cool and avoid humidity in the house.

I am extremely disappointed with Cool Today! They were supposed to come yesterday between 12-4. At 4:00, they still haven’t arrived, so I called them. They said they were going to check with dispatch. After a long hold, they came back on and said that the technician got held up at another job and they don’t know the ETA. At 6:00, they still haven’t arrived. So I called them again. After putting me on hold again, they said he is still tied up. He finally called at almost 7:00. He was not very nice and said he is just leaving his job, but he is about 1.5-2 hour away and if I still wanted to come or reschedule. I said I’m going to call the main number to reschedule. He said I didn’t have to do that and that he will do it for me. I said no…I want to talk with them myself. After hanging up, I called and rescheduled for today. The dispatcher said he will definitely be there by noon, maybe earlier because he is quick at jobs. At 12:15 today, I have not heard from him, so I called. Again, they said he got hung up at a job. I explained this is my second time in two days going through this, and I have to leave the house at 2pm for another appointment. She said she will make a note of that, and someone will call me. The technician called me at 12:50 and asked which plan I had and who’s supplying the sink. I told him they are. And then he says he is going to have to reschedule because their supply department closed at noon. What?!?! He said he didn’t have a choice because nobody told him. This is the last straw, Cool Today. This is the worst customer service I have ever received!!!!!!

Paid for the maintenance plan…. Informed that after hours service was available and scheduled an appointment. The plumber did not show or call. In addition, not even a callback when the emergency after hours line called. Don’t waste your money with the maintenance plan or this company.

Hi Jeff, This is Maria Galu, a customer of 6 years with 2 houses in your service and tens of thousands of dollars to your business. Recently I had this $ 25,200 project to change the ducts. Here is how it went: The sales person convinced me that I need to remove the bats of fiberglass insulation, as I am a sensitive, disable person. Against my better judgment, I agreed, only to go in the attic and notice that half the attic, the low part still has all the fiberglass insulation. All cracks were supposed to be sealed, some were not, as the blown insulation came right down in the far away bathroom. No, the insulation shouldn't have been removed, dragged through my house as the entry is in the closet. Nor did I need to be charged $ 2,000 plus for work I didn't need. Then the ducts, they were hanging on straps. I was told they were stretched, no pictures shown. The balancing didn't work out, the manager left without a word. At the entry in the attic the workers broke a big piece of the drywall. It was nailed back, some caulk, and the damage left to me to deal with, as that will need replacement for a few hundreds of dollars. Overall mediocre job, for a lot of money. Not to offer a small discount for the broken drywall, left me with a bitter taste. Would I do this again, absolutely not! Would I recommend Cool T to my friends and acquaintances for this kind of project, absolutely not! I regret writing all this , the workers tried somewhat, but the outcome wasn't the one expected, or worth the money. Regards, Maria Galu, M.D.

My HVAC stopped cooling last night. Today, Gavin quickly found a flare fitting that was leaking. He remade it to fix this leak. He explained the repair process and showed me a video of the leak. Excellent professional service. I recommend hiring Cool Today and sign up for a maintenance contract such has I did. All the repair folks are like Gavin. Thanks again.

Worst service i have ever had with cooltoday guy came and I could tell he did not want to be here was supposed to service my unit. Spent about 15 min on unit in garage never even looked at unit back of house when he was done I asked him if he put a new filter in he said no. So I handed him one that I bought at lowes. He said I'm done have a good day and walked to his van and left. This is a company that is supposed to give high end service I don't think so. Do not recommend this company and will be looking for another one to service me

Getting ready for hurricane season, I decided to purchase a 14,500 watt tri fuel generator. In receiving various quotes for electrical upgrade, I decided to hire Cool Today. The first technician arrived and started panel upgrade and rejuvenate various breakers. The disconnect was ordered incorrectly and when finally arrived, the technician was asked about labeling breakers and that it was an up charge of $325 regardless of various breakers being moved. I feel that this service should have been completed.

I live in Michigan. I have a Wi-Fi thermostat at my Florida house realized the temperature was going up called them up. They came out. Told me I needed a capacitor and a contactor switch $758. I said go ahead and do it very next day I a/c still not working. They came out again now they’re telling me that I need to spend another $2800 to fix the problem that they did not catch the first time they were there. Supposedly this company is a scam. Do not trust them. sadly, I can’t give them zero stars

Great service! Roman was prompt and efficient. He had all of the parts he needed in his truck even though the appointment was just scheduled yesterday. He replaced my water heater and expansion tank. My water heater doesn’t need a pan because of its location and I completely forgot to ask him about it. He suggested the pan so things around it won’t get ruined. I was so glad he brought it up. He changed my water filters and the tanks did not break as they have in the past. He showed me the filters and recommended changing them more often. I will definitely do this. He was very polite and explained things thoroughly. He seemed very knowledgeable and professional.

The work crew did an excellent job...except after they left I noticed that some substance had leaked on the garage floor. It's approx 6-8 ft long. We wanted an A/C that would not cost us an arm and a leg in maintenance and would remedy the shortcomings of our old system. So we shopped only for one that had a lifetime warranty on labor and parts. We found one at Cool Today. Our salesman Jimmy came out quickly and on time. He took the time to answer all our questions and didn't pressure us in any way. We decided on a unit ($$$$) and arranged the install. Kenny and Austin showed up a couple days later. We were afraid with all the work we had scheduled that it might take them more than a day to do the work. They were quite a team. They worked together well and made steady progress. They were careful and knew what they were doing. They finished up shortly before five. They left the job site in good condition and explained how to operate the new thermostat. We would highly recommend Cool Today for A/C installation.

Called their number to ask for help with getting the appropriate foam filter for my AC unit but was only met with No's and "I can't help with that". Zero attempt to figure out the request. The phone representative only offered to send a technician out despite me repeating it's just a question about the foam filter. Overall it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had this year. All they had to do was put effort into helping a customer and they wouldn't even try!

I signed up for Cool Today's special A/C summer tuneup during a trip to Home Depot. They called me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. We scheduled a time 3 days out. The service tech called within the appointed time window to tell me he was on his way. The service tech was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing and why. Our system is 11 years old and close to the end of its life but still in decent shape. There was no hard sell to upgrade to a new unit. He told me what signs I should be looking for. I also signed up for their "Today Care Plan." I highly recommend you contact Cool Today for all your AC, Plumbing, and Electrical needs. Nick the technician came by to do a checkup on my A/c and went way beyond what any technician has done in the past. He shot pictures of the trouble areas and ran analysis scans on all major parts of the unit. I’ve had service checks done in the past but this was on a much higher level. He then went over the findings with me and made recommendations. I was very happy with the service.

So polite and went over everything and answered any questions I had . A true professional left me feeling fully informed on any info I needed. They cared enough to talk to her neighbor and park Manager to see where the issue lay. They took their time and didn't rush at all. I recommend these wonderdul men. My Mom (87 yrs old) was happy with their demeanor and truly thankful for them.

Needed a plumber for a concern. Wanted to replace some sink valves that had become corroded. I called 8am and asked for an appointment. I was in no great rush. I was told they could do the job between 12 and 4. Ken showed up at 1pm. He accessed the job and said he had to go to the warehouse for the parts. He came back in a half hour. Finished the job in an hour. He came on time, was very courteous and cleaned up after the work was done. The price seemed very fair. Extremely satisfied!

We had a very professional, thorough and very personable maintenance visit from Josh. It was such a great experience that I am considering switching to his company when our present maintenance contract is up for renewal this year. We have lived in Sarasota for over 30 years and for most of those years have had a maintenance service contract on our AC units. Our experience has been that this type of service agreement has saved us not only money but provided peace of mind knowing we have a reputable company to maintain our units. I am sure the regular service visits extended the lives of our various heating and cooling units. Florida climate is brutal to AC systems and having them maintained properly is essential to keeping them operating efficiently and extending the unit’s life. Josh told me he enjoys working for this company and with his team members. He highly praised management and felt he has found his calling working in the heating and cooling industry. Companies that nurture their employees provide the best services I have found. Warren Buffet attributes the success of companies to great customer service and is the most important factor to a company’s success. I think Josh is an employee helping his company to achieve and maintain its success.

My air conditioning was working in my home but making a loud noise so I called to see if someone could check it out. The tech looked at the manufacturer date and said we needed a new one without ever assessing it. He said to repair it would be $8,500 and that it would be cheaper to just get a new one. The next day a sales man came and gave us a quote of $16,000 for a new one, this was bare minimum without any extras which they recommended we do extras (duct work, new lines, etc). We ended up calling another company and they gave us a quote of $1k to repair and $11k with extras to replace. The people were at least friendly but I would not recommend this company

After 30 minutes diagnostics on my Cooling System, the Technician is telling me that my Condenser Contactor need to be replaced. He tells me the cost is $375. Holy moly!! I was shocked to find out that a $20 Contactor (checked on Amazon ) is going to cost me $375!! Wow!! No Thanks!! Also, this service call which was a so called special from Home Depot was supposed to cost me $29.99 not $59.99! I paid it!! But I think it is false advertising! Overall, not a pleasant experience!

Back in July 2024 I had Cool Today install an air conditioner for over $10,000. It is a package unit so it’s just pick up drop in and then connect and it’s done so we all thought the unit worked fine. It just wasn’t installed properly and it took six months for them to install it right? In December 2024 they came out and fixed what they didn’t do the first time they were here back in July in between July and December I had at least 20 visits from them complaining about the temperature difference because one temperature said 76°, which was on there thermometer And all the other thermometers in the house which I had bought from Amazon said 80. Well they realize what they did wrong and they came out and fixed it in December. Which was good they fixed the way it was sitting on the slab. They poured concrete they they did it all just right now. It’s April 2025. The form is still around the air-conditioning unit waiting to be removed. The sand that’s pile around the forms came from my yard they dug a hole inside my yard And they were kind enough to fill it with the leftover concrete. I’ve called about this and I’m still waiting to hear back from them. Their service is very good because they come out most times on the same day. I’ve had them out here as late as 10 PM at night fixing my air conditioner, but when it comes to being professional and treating your property like it was theirs is a big fail. I will use them for servicing this great air conditioner if it works cause I don’t know because I got in December and I don’t know if it’s gonna cool my house properly yet still with my fingers crossed it seems to be working well at the moment. Use them for service. Don’t use them for installation of a new unit.

Big thanks to the Cool Today team! They worked hard all afternoon without complaint to solve the problem with our AC unit. We had a big fault with our HVAC and they resolved it for us in a timely manner. Thank you especially to ALEJANDRA the AC Tech and BRIAN the AC Specialist for their great work on Good Friday!
