We needed motion detection lights on our property and Sergio was sent to do the job. After patiently listening to our concerns, he installed the lights at locations that gave our property the lighting where needed. Sergio installed the lights and cleaned up his work very well. After the lights were installed, we had some concerns and Sergio came to our home a second time, patiently answered our concerns and made changes that were needed. Very well done!

This review is for technician Jonathan V (not Cool Today). Jonathan was extremely polite and very professional. He took the time to explain everything he was doing and patiently answered all my questions. When he finished I felt confident that my A/C unit was in good working condition. He's a 5-Star technician for sure! Cool Today on the other hand gets zero stars for forcing me to buy their expensive AC, Plumbing and Electrical plan when all I wanted was their AC plan.

This was the second air conditioning company I had to check out my unit. The first company was here for less than 5 minutes and concluded that I needed a new unit ... He did not even look at the unit, when he heard the noise, the reason I called for service he automatically said your unit is crying for help. Time to replace it. I decided to get another opinion and friends had recommended Cool Today. Turns out the noise was coming from my POOL pump NOT the air conditioner. He explained what he found and recommended a solution to solve a mold problem that was starting to show in our unit . Adam Collins was thorough, professional and honest. My experience was positive with him. Now, a few months later we call for service again. We were told a full replacement was needed at 11,500 for a 3.5 ton. Conveniently they had a “salesman” in tow to conveniently take care of the sale…doesn’t seem like they even considered a repair right? We found a company for a larger 5 ton at 5100 installed…that’s a savings of more than 50% (see my review for AC Wholesale). I’d have to give a low rating because it felt dishonest and gouging.

Hired to look at a possible electrical issue for my AC unit. After that was taken care of, claimed I had low coolant. Knowing my air was ice cold before the electrical issue, I got a second opinion. Coolant was perfect. No issue. Not a good look asking for 400+ dollars to repair. Based on recent low reviews, seems to be happening more and more.

I manage several vacation rental properties that were severely impacted by hurricane Helene. Two out of five properties in the same complex had no air conditioning. One of them had a service contract with Cool Today, I called them earlier in the morning and they sent a technician out the same day. The other property that was having an AC issue had a different company, i contacted them and they sent a technician out as well. lThey told me that the whole system needed to be replaced to the tune of about $8000. When Omar came from Cool Today to service the rental property they had the cool Today maintenance contract, i asked him if he would please give me a second opinion. He literally fixed the AC unit for a little over $1000. I’m so grateful to Cool Today and Omar.

He came out the day after Helene to get our AC running again, and instead of being mysterious and charging us for a hefty repair, he willingly, openly taught my partner how to correct the problem and prevent it from happening again. And, dear reader, Amazing Adam didn't stop there. Our neighbor saw the Cool Today truck in our drive, and popped over to ask him about her unit that had suddenly stopped working. Adam took the time to walk over, give her a quick diagnosis, jumpstart her unit. The man just exuded kindness and care the entire time, and left our neighborhood better than he found it. Give this man a cape- He's our hero!

Social Nonsense

I don’t know what happened to this company over the last few months! Several months ago, I had them install at my personal residence. Response time, pricing and installation were excellent. Fast forward few months and I need to replace the AC at my daughters house. The experience was the direct opposite of my first experience. Yes, they showed up to give me a quote pretty quickly. However, the quote had no details as to units specifications. I had called several times asking for clarification and not one person responded Even after I left a message that I was going to call another company…. Crickets… My understanding is that they are starting to push their own AC units with their own badging. You really don’t know what you’re getting which explains why their quote did not include any specifics. Too bad. They really had their act together, but they have fallen apart.

Cool today was amazing. I called them in a Saturday evening at about 7:00 PM and scheduled service that evening. The technician called me back in less than 5 minutes letting me know he would be at my residence in 25 minutes. He arrived in less than 25 minutes and solved the problem in less than 5 minutes. He was extremely professional and explained everything to me. I have to say, Cool Today is TOP NOTCH!! I could not have had a better experience with any other company!! I recommend Cool Today1000%

We had a very weird experience with this company. We scheduled an AC tune up which we try to do every 6-8 months. Our unit is not even 4 years old. The tech came out and kept saying our unit was 7-8 years old and was close to needing to be replaced. Which is completely false. We have not had any issues with our unit and mostly just needed the coils cleaned. The tech had my husband hold the top of the unit up so he could clean the inside but my husband had to leave. The tech tried to say he couldn’t complete the job because he “needed a man” to help him complete the job. I ended up insisting on helping him (a woman which he didn’t seem to appreciate). He complained about having to clean the coils and said he was “doing a $500 cleaning job and [I] better give [him] a 5 star review.” FOR DOING HIS JOB THAT HE WAS MEANT TO DO! Honestly, I will never do business with this company again. The customer shouldn’t have to do part of the tech’s job in order for the job to be successfully completed.

Our tech Franz was so kind, very knowledgeable, took his time to do it right where unbeknownst to me my prior company wasn’t cleaning my unit correctly. He went over everything with us. Jonathan and his team arrived as scheduled and explained the project in detail so there were no surprises. The day was extremely hot and the crew pushed through by staying hydrated. A few minor adjustments were met with complete adoption. After the install there was a walk through showing all the work done including maintenance tips. Beyond thankful for Adam’s work, help and patience today!!! There was a slight battle yesterday between a weed whip and the power to the ac unit… let’s just say the weed whip won! I tried to consult Dr. Google to perform the surgery and after hours of tried and failed attempts, I unfortunately had no luck. Adam waited close to an hour for me to get home from school as he watched my dogs panting in anticipation for any slight breeze. Adam found the issue within about 30 minutes or less and charged for a simple service call as there was really nothing that needed repair. Thankful for the air and lesson learned! Weed whips win every time unless you’re battling Cool Today! 😎

Excellent experience today. Our tech Samuel was very friendly, polite, professional, and resolved our AC issue right away. Our system is almost 10 years old so the capacitor needed replacing. The first time we called to book an appointment over the phone the technician was prompt courteous and very professional. Called us thirty minutes before, the whole nine yards… So much so that we signed up for their whole home maintenance plan, five stars… no questions right? Well today I lowered my rating one star because I booked a maintenance appointment from their email about an electrical issue we had. 9-12 show up time… I waited until the last 30 minutes with no phone call… so I called in the operator told me sorry they were in a team meeting all morning and are just getting out. They have one other appointment before you. Might be an hour or two. Needless to say I was disappointed that nobody called to tell me any of this as I could have been doing errands or actual work. If they nines they had a team meeting they should have called the day before and notified all am appointments. But now I might have someone show up in the next three hour window…. If they don’t trust me I’ll update this review to a whole new star level. What’s the expression… not mad just disappointed with the lack of communication for their “valued clients”

He came out for a repair on Monday and found that we needed a new part. He was able to get the unit working while we waited for the part. We had Cool Today come to provide an inspection of our AC, plumbing and electrical systems in our manufactured home. Each of the techs were friendly, professional and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They each found some unexpected issues. The AC Tech actually spoke to my son, who is an AC tech for Trane in New York. My son thought the tech was being honest and forthright with his assessment of my very old AC unit. So, while I am not happy with their recommendation, I believe them to be accurate and considerate of the life expectancy of the existing and possible updated systems. I have a lot to consider!

He went above and beyond and was so kind and professional. I’m always hesitant when it comes to service providers because they can be a little pushy but he was the complete opposite. I was impressed with how professional the ac people were. Came out same day took care of my issues no problems. Reason I did 2 stars was the plumber that came the following day refused to work on my bathroom and I mentioned the sink and tub wouldn’t drain. He said and I quote I can’t work in these conditions and tub and sink would be a little cleaner if they were able to drain. He just didn’t want to work. Was very disappointed. Found someone else for half the price same day that got it done in an hr. Was very pleased with them.

I knew I was going to be spending a lot of money and that there were a lot of options out there. I got four estimates with fairly similar equipment and prices ranged from $17,000 to $32,000. I made my decision based on the information I received from Phil, the salesman from Cool Today. Of all the people I spoke with Phil was the most detailed and gave me several options that would work for my house. Phil also found damaged ductwork that no one else did. Once I decided to use Cool Today they installed the new system the next day. The crew showed up and worked all day. The installation looks great and the system is working perfectly. The crew was so nice and left our place very clean. This was truly a great experience.

After calling several companies and one of them not even showing up to the scheduled appointment, I decided to call Cool Today and I was immediately content with the customer service. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name but the receptionist was so helpful and got us the help we needed right away. She assured us she would send a tech as soon as possible as we were without air and she sure did. 10 min later we had a confirmation our tech was on the way. Sam showed up and was nothing but efficient. He got straight to the point which it’s what we needed. He was extremely sweet and funny which also helped the situation. Fast forwarding to installation day (1 day later by the way) we were very happy with the overall performance the two techs they sent out. They got the job done and were also down to earth. The whole entire experience was just what we needed in the middle of all the craziness. I highly recommend Cool Today!

We replaced a forced-air furnace and air conditioner with a Carrier Heat Pump. This was the worst installation ever. They did very sloppy work. The 1st crew did such a poor job they had to send a 2nd crew who took over 48 hours to fix the issues. For example; the switch wire was cut off at the breaker and rewiring for the pump was needed. Insulation on the copper refrigerant lines was damaged. Spray foam was holding the outside trim soffit. Attic plumbing was left lying on the duct work collapsing the ducts in multiple locations. The circuit breaker wiring power shielding was not taken off. The thermostat wire was cut during installation. The gas line was not capped. The plumbing was installed across the unit access panel so it couldn't be opened. The company, specifically a supervisor named Preston, was tough to work with and refused to return phone calls or emails.
