Chris, sales rep professional, knowledgeable, polite. We opted for the Carrier Infinity variable inverter system. Pricy but worth it for its advanced design, economical performance and quiet operation. Installation went well, neat, clean and professional. Only difficulty, we were told that this system was equipped with a 4” pleated filter and a pull-out drawer. Important because we needed enhanced filtration for health reasons. Although available, our system was equipped only with a 3/4” merv 8 filter which is less filtration than our old unit. Instead of retrofitting the present unit to accommodate a 4” filter, our hope is that CoolToday would install UV and electrostatic elements in the a/h to give us better filtering.

We have used Cool Today for two years now and found out about them through a program they have in partnership with The Home Depot. Eliseo was our tech today. He was polite, professional, and enjoyable to chat with as he performed routine maintenance on our HVAC system. At his suggestion, which was clearly presented and backed by the evidence of our need, we had a UV light installed. He called in advance to see if he could arrive almost two hours early, which was an added bonus since it fit right into our schedule. If you are trying to decide who to call, you won’t be disappointed — especially if you go through The Home Depot. And as Braves fans, Cool Today supports our team as the stadium sponsor of their spring training home in North Port.

Roman was my Technician he began by telling how the hot water tank functions. Explained he would do to analyze issue of no hot water. We concluded putting in a new tank, this one is 12 years old. He explained what needed to change which was minimal, a tank and couple of new pex tubes, following draining the tank. Installation was quick and clean. He explained warranty and future care. I decided to walk into Cool Today after seeing those greenish Cool Today trucks everywhere in Sarasota to discuss updating my heating and air conditioning system. I was met by Jimmy Mullen who explained his background with the company and company business model. Jimmy answered all my questions so we agreed for him to come to my home to perform a free energy audit and make a recommendation on a heating system. I choose the energy Star Rated 3.5 Ton Rheem/Ruud 2 stage heat pump. The next day, the installer Paul called me and provided an arrival time to begin the installation. The company actually had sent a link to me so that I could track where Paul was as he made his way to my home. Paul told me that had discussed the work with Jimmy the prior afternoon and Paul discussed the work to be done clearly with me in a very professional manner. I also found Paul to be very knowledgeable of what needed to be done. Right after, Paul and his coworker got busy removing the 8 year old gas furnace and the outside air conditioner. I asked Paul for an approximate time to complete the installation. He estimated around 03:30pm including the installation and setup of a new WI-FI thermostat. The installation is better than what I expected and Paul and his coworker completed the work at 03:25pm….. very impressive. The installation is very clean looking, with no exposed wires (see photos). Overall, I am very happy with the cost of the equipment and the professional installation. The Guarantee provided by Cool Today is far and above any guarantee I have ever read. Thanks to Jimmy, Paul, his coworker, and the staff at Cool Today for making the installation go smoothly.

Fortunately, I decided to shop for a new heat pump before the old one died, so I had a chance to spend some time talking with companies, understanding what they offered, and making an informed decision rather than a sweaty, rushed one. I wound up choosing Cool Today, and it worked out well. I got a high-efficiency system at a great price, 0% financing for 60 months, and an additional supply vent in our bedroom on the south side of the house, which has traditionally been warmer than the rest of the house and isn't any more. The sales rep was knowledgeable, his support person was responsive and helpful, and the guys who did the install were competent, neat and friendly.

I've never had a worse experience with a company in my life. I installed a $20,000 system and it started failing and having issues immediately. I had no air conditioning for almost 5 days even though they had the part in stock the whole time. I had to call them over and over just to get them to come out to fix the system. I've never dealt with managers who could care less about their jobs. Turns out they improperly installed it and they still haven't fully fixed it (and the month it ran when improperly installed caused a lot of wear on the system). No calls, no help from anyone. I'm sure I'll have to call them another half dozen times just to get this fixed however I'm planning to look into removing this system under their money back guarantee and have a professional A/C company put in a new one. They may be good for maintenance but DO NOT use CoolToday for any kind of installation services. Most of these Google reviews are for their maintenance services, go look at some other review sites and how low their scores are when most of the people posting got installation services.

The experience with Cool Today was 5-star. Phil who came out for the estimate to replace the AC was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We felt comfortable with the estimate and the guarantee of no additional charges. This was complete replacement that entailed removing a pancake air handler unit in a tight attic space and moving it to an adjacent linen closet requiring rerouting of some of the ducting. I had an estimate before he left the property. The installer was David along with another worker. They were able to work through some challenges removing the old air handler to get to the wiring and piping. They arrived at 8:30 AM and were done around 3:30 PM. They were professional and courteous and left the property clean when they left. These guys are pros and it shows. The new unit is working great.

I have got 2 ACs and 1 water heater installed in the last 8 months which have broke over 5 times. The one AC system didn’t work for a month shortly after they installed it. I had to wait for a part. Then the second time it broke I had a tenant with a baby staying at my place there was no AC for a week and I had to refund them for their stay hoping they don’t give me a bad review. To deal with the associates of Cool Today isn’t fun. They have a huge company disconnect. No one knows what is going on. Also they DO NOT deliver same day service if you happen to have a problem on a weekend forget it. Their prices are the highest across town and the service is mediocre. I would definitely NOT Recommend this company.

I'd keep looking. Unless you like wasting your own time to be ignored after literally being told they dropped the ball and promising to make it right. I shouldnt lose work time to wait for someone who isn't even coming. Asked for escalation on friday - its two business days later- still no contact from them. If a whole new system, ductwork, and insulation results in 7 degree disparity in room temperatures from 71-78 degrees to 74-80 degrees. My system is constantly kicking on set at 77. I can't lower it because condensation is literally dripping in a cold room, can't raise it unless people want to sleep in heat. I wish i could return the whole thing and start fresh with a different company because ive already had two no shows from the manager that was supposed to help me, resulting on my friday escalation request. I think i could go to tech school and get certified to fix my own problem faster than this compsny will take care of it. Please evaluate your workforce, have less people selling and more people skilled at install and fixing. Can you please come take this system back? How can i trust a warranty when you dont call and you dont show up?

We had scheduled to be away from the house, but felt very comfortable allowing the team to access the home and complete the installation. AC unit went down at 5PM Friday. Current vendor never returned my phone call. Called Cool Today and had a rep onsite Sunday to spec the system. Delivery team showed up at 8AM Monday. Great product and service. Top Name Brand equipment, not off brand like the cheaper vendors. You get what you pay for and Cool Today is worth it!

Back in July 2024 I had Cool Today install an air conditioner for over $10,000. It is a package unit so it’s just pick up drop in and then connect and it’s done so we all thought the unit worked fine. It just wasn’t installed properly and it took six months for them to install it right? In December 2024 they came out and fixed what they didn’t do the first time they were here back in July in between July and December I had at least 20 visits from them complaining about the temperature difference because one temperature said 76°, which was on there thermometer And all the other thermometers in the house which I had bought from Amazon said 80. Well they realize what they did wrong and they came out and fixed it in December. Which was good they fixed the way it was sitting on the slab. They poured concrete they they did it all just right now. It’s April 2025. The form is still around the air-conditioning unit waiting to be removed. The sand that’s pile around the forms came from my yard they dug a hole inside my yard And they were kind enough to fill it with the leftover concrete. I’ve called about this and I’m still waiting to hear back from them. Their service is very good because they come out most times on the same day. I’ve had them out here as late as 10 PM at night fixing my air conditioner, but when it comes to being professional and treating your property like it was theirs is a big fail. I will use them for servicing this great air conditioner if it works cause I don’t know because I got in December and I don’t know if it’s gonna cool my house properly yet still with my fingers crossed it seems to be working well at the moment. Use them for service. Don’t use them for installation of a new unit.

When we got back on the island after hurricane Milton, we discovered that our roof-top air conditioner was kaput. Upon advice from two other condo owners in our association, we went to Costco to get our air conditioner replaced. The vendor is Cool Today. In three days time we had a new air conditioner. The service was fast and efficient. The technicians did a great job of removing the old equipment and replacing with the new. In a few hours we were up and running. This was not an easy job because they needed a crane to remove the old unit and place the new one (two stories). And the nice thing is that the entire system is an upgrade from the old system. The technician whose name is Anthony did a very thorough job and spent over an hour testing my air handler, compressor, capacitor as well as the other parts in my system. We have been customers of Cool Today since we purchased our home in June 2021. Our HVAC equipment was originally installed in 2015. Cool Today would come out twice a year to inspect and maintain the system. Other than that, we have had to call 2 times for service for repair on the system. Both times Cool Today was absolutely terrific in their response . . . same day and professionally done. At the time of the last repair we learned that a new system would probably be needed within the next year or so since the service life of the existing system was 8-10 years typically. The new systems that would be mandated after January 1, 2025, would be more complex and more expensive than a new system before that date. So, we decided that now would be the best time to get a new system. We received quotes from multiple companies for various scenarios. We chose Cool Today due to our previous experiences with them and also due to the competitiveness of their quote and especially because of the lifetime warranty we would receive on our new system. The installation was scheduled for a Saturday morning and the crew (headed up by Paul Benham) showed up at 8:30 AM and was complete by 1:30 PM . . . and VERY professional and neatly done. We feel that we made an excellent choice by selecting Cool Today!

Adam Collins was thorough, professional and honest. My experience was positive with him. Now, a few months later we call for service again. We were told a full replacement was needed at 11,500 for a 3.5 ton. Conveniently they had a “salesman” in tow to conveniently take care of the sale…doesn’t seem like they even considered a repair right? We found a company for a larger 5 ton at 5100 installed…that’s a savings of more than 50% (see my review for AC Wholesale). I’d have to give a low rating because it felt dishonest and gouging.

I knew I was going to be spending a lot of money and that there were a lot of options out there. I got four estimates with fairly similar equipment and prices ranged from $17,000 to $32,000. I made my decision based on the information I received from Phil, the salesman from Cool Today. Of all the people I spoke with Phil was the most detailed and gave me several options that would work for my house. Phil also found damaged ductwork that no one else did. We replaced a forced-air furnace and air conditioner with a Carrier Heat Pump. This was the worst installation ever. They did very sloppy work. The 1st crew did such a poor job they had to send a 2nd crew who took over 48 hours to fix the issues. For example; the switch wire was cut off at the breaker and rewiring for the pump was needed. Insulation on the copper refrigerant lines was damaged. Spray foam was holding the outside trim soffit. Attic plumbing was left lying on the duct work collapsing the ducts in multiple locations. The circuit breaker wiring power shielding was not taken off. The thermostat wire was cut during installation. The gas line was not capped. The plumbing was installed across the unit access panel so it couldn't be opened. The company, specifically a supervisor named Preston, was tough to work with and refused to return phone calls or emails.
