Update 1/1/26: Increasing to 4 stars. Latest service call was excellent. Juan was very polite, knowledgeable and helpful with his advice. He completed the maintenance work professionally. Very satisfied. July 2025: In general I've been happy with Cool Today, but it's a large company so each time we often have a different technician. This time, the technician was, as usual, very polite and nice but I was a bit disappointed in that he reinstalled the lattice to the AC unit crooked and incomplete to where I had to add 4 additional screws to properly secure it. Plus, I did not receive a detailed evaluation of the AC status like I did in the past. Finally, my wife heard him on the call asking for further instructions on how to make the repair that he said I needed. Not exactly a confidence builder.

We had our new air conditioner installed on November 28, 2025 and of today December 1, 2025 we do not have air. The conditioner worked for 1 hour and quit and the technician was still here and got it running and left. One hour later the unit stopped again. Another Technician came and checked the unit and found the problem, the Fuses. He said that he had to order them and they would be here today, Dec. 1 and then we got a call this morning saying that they would be here tomorrow Dec. 2. We are not sure if that will happen or not. Not Very Happy.

Because of their genuine concern and effectiveness correcting the issues, I am changing my review rating to 5 stars. Well done Cool Today! We've had a code 22 on and off since the install November 2024. Raphael Ramirez, a service technician, came today to do a maintenance check. He got a code 22 just like we have been getting since the install. Raphael said a code 22 must be corrected, since it's an error code there is something wrong. I told him I've called in several times to get it fixed but to avail. Also, the hurricane pad cracked shortly after install and the rear inside unit has had a cracked hinge since the install. Still waiting to get everything fixed after a year! How much longer must I wait??

Paul also crawled in our attic to repair a crack in the discharge pipe! Overall Cool Today made us feel confident about our purchase. I've never had a worse experience with a company in my life. I installed a $20,000 system and it started failing and having issues immediately. I had no air conditioning for almost 5 days even though they had the part in stock the whole time. I had to call them over and over just to get them to come out to fix the system. I've never dealt with managers who could care less about their jobs. Turns out they improperly installed it and they still haven't fully fixed it (and the month it ran when improperly installed caused a lot of wear on the system). No calls, no help from anyone. I'm sure I'll have to call them another half dozen times just to get this fixed however I'm planning to look into removing this system under their money back guarantee and have a professional A/C company put in a new one. They may be good for maintenance but DO NOT use CoolToday for any kind of installation services. Most of these Google reviews are for their maintenance services, go look at some other review sites and how low their scores are when most of the people posting got installation services.

Cool today was on the job Thursday, replacing our air conditioning system the day after we spoke to their sales representative, Chris. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Team of three arrived and worked hard to get our old system out. They installed our new Lenox system, and then cleaned up afterwards. The team lead by Carlos Rodriguez, was knowledgeable, respectful of our questions, and very conscientious. We are so grateful to have our new air conditioning up and running. 0 STARS!!! I called on Friday asking for a quote to do a garbage disposal installation and replace washer lines. I was given an appointment window on Saturday from 12-4pm AND an $89 estimate fee just to show up. 5:36pm on Saturday and they are a no show. When I called the office, she put me on hold for several minutes then came back to say, “I don’t know when they will be there, but they say they will be there today.” I asked, “Does that mean 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, or tomorrow?” She said, “I don’t have an ETA, but it will be today.” So I told her I want to cancel my appointment to which she had the audacity to ask, “Are you sure?” I told her, “Absolutely. If you guys can’t even keep time commitments then I wouldn’t hire you anyway. You basically wasted my entire Saturday.” She said, “okay, have a good day.” NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY FOR WASTING MY ENTIRE SATURDAY! WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD! SHAME ON YOU!!!

I am extremely disappointed with Cool Today! They were supposed to come yesterday between 12-4. At 4:00, they still haven’t arrived, so I called them. They said they were going to check with dispatch. After a long hold, they came back on and said that the technician got held up at another job and they don’t know the ETA. At 6:00, they still haven’t arrived. So I called them again. After putting me on hold again, they said he is still tied up. He finally called at almost 7:00. He was not very nice and said he is just leaving his job, but he is about 1.5-2 hour away and if I still wanted to come or reschedule. I said I’m going to call the main number to reschedule. He said I didn’t have to do that and that he will do it for me. I said no…I want to talk with them myself. After hanging up, I called and rescheduled for today. The dispatcher said he will definitely be there by noon, maybe earlier because he is quick at jobs. At 12:15 today, I have not heard from him, so I called. Again, they said he got hung up at a job. I explained this is my second time in two days going through this, and I have to leave the house at 2pm for another appointment. She said she will make a note of that, and someone will call me. The technician called me at 12:50 and asked which plan I had and who’s supplying the sink. I told him they are. And then he says he is going to have to reschedule because their supply department closed at noon. What?!?! He said he didn’t have a choice because nobody told him. This is the last straw, Cool Today. This is the worst customer service I have ever received!!!!!!

Called their number to ask for help with getting the appropriate foam filter for my AC unit but was only met with No's and "I can't help with that". Zero attempt to figure out the request. The phone representative only offered to send a technician out despite me repeating it's just a question about the foam filter. Overall it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had this year. All they had to do was put effort into helping a customer and they wouldn't even try!

I signed up for Cool Today's special A/C summer tuneup during a trip to Home Depot. They called me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. We scheduled a time 3 days out. The service tech called within the appointed time window to tell me he was on his way. The service tech was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing and why. Our system is 11 years old and close to the end of its life but still in decent shape. There was no hard sell to upgrade to a new unit. Our technician came well within the 4 hour time period. He was friendly and professional. Worked on unclogging our kitchen drain from the kitchen. He tried a few times but it didn’t clear the drain. He thought he might have to send someone else the next day with different equipment. But tried unclogging from the roof through the vent stack and was successful. Great job! We’ve never had a bad experience with CoolToday. Everyone from the people on the phone to the techs that come into our home - they’re kind, knowledgeable, and really good at their jobs. Unreliable Service & Inconsistent Technicians Cool Today has been a huge disappointment. Every time they send a technician, it’s someone new who isn’t familiar with my system, leading to inconsistent service and repeated issues. Instead of properly fixing things, they waste time upselling unnecessary services. It feels like they prioritize sales over actual customer satisfaction. There techs don't know and don't even thing of getting a manager to fix your problem they are worthless, won't even give you a call back For the high prices they charge, I expect reliability and expertise—not a guessing game with different techs every visit. If you want consistent, professional service, look elsewhere. They are not it.

From the start of the installation to the free year of maintenance to my recent tech visit giving Cool Today a final chance, I would not recommend Cool Today. Cook Today installed the incorrect air handler to start then try to sell more equipment with each maintenance check and now when the heat was needed and not working provide an inaccurate assumption of the cause. They wanted almost $400 to clean/clear the drain line. I declined and when I got home I poured water down it and it came out at the end outside. I messaged with no answer to my question and called in which I was hung up on. DO NOT CHOOSE COOL TODAY!
