I've been a Cool Today customer for a number of years and multiple homes and after this last visit, I think I'm done. Nothing personal to the "technician" who came to my house, but it was so clear his primary intention was to try and sell me as much as possible...like a $3,000 replacement for my fully functioning dual-lamp U/V system on a 4 year old A/C, and that was just the start. I even got the "my manager says he'll do xyz for free if you agree right now" high pressure pitch. I never did get the pictures of my system, electrical values, etc from a typical maintenence visit but you can bet I had those work estimates in my inbox before he left the driveway. I debated for days if I should even write this, I'm a nobody to them and I've had some very good experiences with people from CT in the past (shout out Darby) but this visit left me feeling wary. I still have a 2nd free maintenance appointment to use this year and I don't see myself cashing it in. I'll be moving to a company that isn't charging me to slap its name on a stadium or owned by private equity.

I had free service performed after being a new A/C unit in April. I had a 12 to 4 appointment window but the tech arrived at 4:20. he was polite and did the expected maintenance service. However he did not however have the proper equipment to check the refrigerant which was disappointing. That was not his fault, he was not given the proper tools to do his job. Since this unit is new it could be presumed the refrigerant was ok, but why be sent out to do a check, and not check it.

Very satisfied. July 2025: In general I've been happy with Cool Today, but it's a large company so each time we often have a different technician. This time, the technician was, as usual, very polite and nice but I was a bit disappointed in that he reinstalled the lattice to the AC unit crooked and incomplete to where I had to add 4 additional screws to properly secure it. Plus, I did not receive a detailed evaluation of the AC status like I did in the past. Finally, my wife heard him on the call asking for further instructions on how to make the repair that he said I needed. Not exactly a confidence builder.

Because of their genuine concern and effectiveness correcting the issues, I am changing my review rating to 5 stars. Well done Cool Today! We've had a code 22 on and off since the install November 2024. Raphael Ramirez, a service technician, came today to do a maintenance check. He got a code 22 just like we have been getting since the install. Raphael said a code 22 must be corrected, since it's an error code there is something wrong. I told him I've called in several times to get it fixed but to avail. Also, the hurricane pad cracked shortly after install and the rear inside unit has had a cracked hinge since the install. Still waiting to get everything fixed after a year! How much longer must I wait??

However, I was expecting to pay $59.00 for this service, but ending up paying $597.00 to clean the evaporator coils which I felt was excessive. I don't blame the technician who was just doing his job. So with replacing the capacitor which was going bad, the final cost was $828.00. That's the reason for the 4 stars.

Just had my first scheduled preventative maintenance performed on our new A/C system. The work was done under the Lifetime Warranty we purchased with the system. The technician, Rafael Ramirez, arrived within the first hour of my 4 hour service window (I always appreciate that!), and was very professional and knowledgeable. Of course the six month old system checked out OK. I’ve been nothing but completely satisfied with Cool Today. Yeah I was not ecstatic to purchase a new A/C system six months ago, but if you have to pay $xxxxx thousand dollars, give your money to Cool Today. Worthwhile investment.

Wilfrid was very nice. He changed the supplied filter and cleaned my grate. He checked the capacitor and said it is still good he washed my condenser coils. Was very disappointed that he didn’t check the most important part of the AC. He didn’t check my Freon level. He never took out the guages to check. I don’t know if it was because I got the Home Depot special pricing. The list of things to check on the supplied paperwork is checking the level of Freon.

While the technician said everything was good we received no summary of findings on the AC system, and was surprised that the technician did not bring in or out any filters,. I may be wrong, but I thought filter replacement was standard procedure for any AC service appointment. The technician was a very pleasant gentleman, and seemed knowledgeable, but I think a written summary of the work done and findings on the AC system should be standard procedure. Thank you.

tech came before time but didnot perform job correctly.it was told 60 point or 80 point inspection, I asked why there is water drops under a/c units. He didnot resolve issue and said it may be duct issue and need to call again for 2nd opinion and when I called back at office it was told it is service call and I have to pay $89. So I have called you guys to have a/c tune up and price has reduced to $29. I have no issue in my a/c it works great but when I noticed the water under tray in a/c unit he did not diagnose isssue. When person from Home depot told about you and it was all on paper only. tech did not gave me invoice, I have to call your office to request to send it to me. It was not worth to spend this money at all.

Dean Nguyen called to tell me he had an opening earlier in the day. He arrived exactly when he said he would come and spent some time really looking at our two air-conditioning systems to make sure that they were running properly. He changed the filters and also unclogged a blockage we had in one discharge pipe because the water had been backing up. I wouldn't post a review, but Cool Today keeps pushing. CURRENT PROBLEM, in my daughter's condo. On the pro side, I was able to get a service call promptly to address a leaking HVAC unit. On the con side, eight days later I have to schedule another service call because the unit is pushing warm air. Prompt scheduling again, but two calls in less than two weeks. LAST REVIEW, which didn't post. HVAC maintenance in my house. Cool Today keep sbugging me for a review. Well, here it is. I find the technicians competent and polite. The scheduling, on the other hand, is a nightmare. I believe the company is understaffed. I got a maintenance appointment, arranged to be home during a 4 hour window--and in the middle I got a call that the tech had an emergency and couldn't come. No one else could? Cool Today promised that I wouldn't be cut off again. I rescheduled, arranged to be home during a 12-6 window, and at 5:55pm the tech showed up for a service that takes about an hour and a half. What? I had dinner plans. So we rescheduled again, a 4 hour window; the tech promised I'd be first. Again, 5 minutes before the window closed, Cool Today showed up. I spent about 15 hours waiting for this call.

The rep showed up on time and went right to work. At one point he showed my wife a picture and told her that we had mold. She asked to see the mold in our AC unit, and he showed an area that was covered by the filter. He told my wife that it would cost $1,000 for an ultraviolet treatment, and that it would be a little less if we had a contract. Then my contractor came over and looked at the area and told us it was just dirt that could be cleaned with Clorox wipes. If anyone is considering Cool Today, please keep in mind that the reps make a commission by selling you services you don't need.

Joshua the CoolToday tech came to the house to service and check the new cooling system that was installed after Hurricane Helene. It Survived Milton. He was very nice and friendly. He explained what he was checking and servicing. During his work, He found a loose wire in the compressor unit outside not making full contact and repaired it He installed new wire nuts on all other wire connections. At the completion of his service he said there was no charge. It was complimentary with the new install the year before. I Highly recommended the company.

I did give a 3 star rating due to the fact that you no longer get 2 minor toilet rebuilds for free with the service plan. I was informed that it would be $300 per toilet for a minor rebuild……that is INSANE!!!! I would much rather go back to paying the $359 yearly fee and have 2 toilet rebuilds included. Definitely think this is something you should re-consider as I would have to assume this isn’t the first time you have heard of this concern from a customer. Like many homes in the area, we have 3 toilets so that would be $900. I will YouTube educate myself and figure out how to do it on my own. I have been a customer for over 5 years, to be honest, this could be a game changer.
